BETTY POV
I woke up with Jughead's arms wrapped around me. I fell back asleep a few minutes later.
JUGHEAD POV
I woke up with Betty in my arms. She was sound asleep, I lay there for a moment looking at her every now and then, and thinking of the plan. But there was something Betty didn't  know. Something she couldn't know, ever. I was lost in my thoughts until Betty woke up.
Betty: When did you wake up?
She said rubbing her eyes.
Jughead: A few hours ago.
Betty: And  you've  been here the whole time?
Jughead: yes.
We got up and I went to check on Hal. Betty was following me.
Jughead: Betts, you don't  have to  go.
Betty: I want to Jug.
We went down to the basement where Hal was, Betty stayed behind me.
Jughead: Are you sure Betty?
I asked before opening the door.
Betty: Yes.
BETTY POV
We went to the basement where my dad was, I stayed behind Jug just in case something happened. I didn't  really know why I wanted to go down there with him I just did.
We walked down the steps and my dad looked up.
Hal: Hey Betty, how have you been?
Betty: Fine.....I guess.
Hal: why are you two down here?
Jughead: We came to check on you. Mainly to see if your still here.
Hal: Well, here I am.
Jughead: Yea, there you are.
JUGHEAD POV
I started to walk back upstairs, when he grabbed my attention.
Hal: You really sure you want to do this kid?
Jughead: Yea....I am.
He looked at Betty and examined  her.
She moved right behind me, out of his view.
Jughead: How can you live with yourself?
Hal: I just think about my daughter.
Jughead: Your sick.
Hal: So I've been told.
I didn't  know what just happened.
Betty moved out of the way, and ran to the stairs. Next thing I knew he broke free of the rope, and tackled  me, then started beating me.
BETTY POV
I noticed my dad looking angry and about to break the rope, so I went to the stairs. I wondered how often does he think about me? I was lost in my though when he tackled Jughead and started  beating him.
Betty: STOP. DAD STOP.
I ran over to them trying to pull him off  Jug.
Hal: GET AWAY FROM ME.
I didn't. And won't. I looked at jughead, still trying to break free from my dad's grip. He looked like he was about to give up. I guess Jug, got mad enough to hit back. He knocked my dad out in one punch, then pushed him off.
Betty: Jug  are you okay?
Jughead: Yea Betts I'm fine. Are you okay?
Betty: Yea, I just feel bad.
Jughead: Don't. It isn't your fault.
Jughead said as he lifted  my dad off the floor and sat back in the chair. He tied him up again with rope,  and a chain.
Betty: Do you guys always keep things like this in here?
Jughead: That's what I'm gathering.
 JUGHEAD POV
If it wasn't for Betty I don't know what would've  happened. I tied her dad back up and we left.
Jughead: Betty, are you okay?
Betty: I honestly don't know. But I will be.
Jughead: I just want to know you're  okay, and safe.
Betty: I know Jug.
We walked back up stairs to see my dad drinking. I remembered how he was when he drank and something tells me he was the same way he was then.
FP: Where have you two been?
Jughead: we went down to see Hal.
FP: I told you not to go down there and not to worry about it but you never listen do you?!
I whispered for Betty to go to the room.
Betty: Why?
Jughead: Just do it please.
Betty: Okay
Betty left and it was just me and my dad, I remembered how sometimes when he drinks which is occasionally he gets angry and a bit abusive, so I had Betty go to the room.
BETTY POV
I did what Jug told me, I went in the room and shut the door. I didn't know why he had me come to the room but a little later I heard them yelling. I was imidetally  having flashbacks and started crying.
Jughead: WHY WOULD YOU START DRINKING AGAIN?!
FP: DO I NEED A REASON? YOU STRESS ME OUT SO MUCH.
jughead: I DONT DO ANYTHING TO YOU. I BARELY EVEN REMEMBER YOU AND WHAT I DO REMEMBER I WANT TO FORGET.
I heard all of it from the room. Most people wouldn't  be curious about what he remembers but I am. I just didn't want to ask him. I heard banging  around and things breaking. I got up and opened the door.
