Pidge could hardly think from all the noise the blasts from the Galra were creating. Pidge felt Keith clutch her hand. She looked over at him and saw him peeking around the desk his sword in hand. She activated her bayard just as Keith hauled her to her feet. He took off running knocking through sentries to get to the door. Activating her bayard, Pidge hit several more sentries that came at them from behind.

Once through the door Pidge sprinted down the corridor after Keith. She kept seeing him look back as if he was trying to pinpoint her or the sentries behind them.

Out of curiosity she looked back, and sure enough there were at least ten sentries coming up the corridor. Turning back forward she quickened her pace determined to reach the corridor with Keith. She glanced back once more only to see the Galra gaining on the two of them. She pumped her short legs as fast as she could after Keith who was already halfway to his lion.

That's when disaster struck.

Pidge made the mistake to turn around to see how close the sentries were behind her. What she didn't notice was a board that was left sticking out of a wooden crate. It had been one of the Galra's shipments of quintessence. One of the numerous things the Paladins were trying to stop.

Pidge turned forward a little too late and tripped over the board. She went flying forward, she put her hands out to catch herself. She landed firmly on her hands most of her weight on her right wrist. Pain immediately enveloped it, and she quickly pushed off of it. She held it against her chest hoping to prevent it from moving too much as she rose. She knew all too well that she had sprained it.

By this time Keith was climbing into his lion. Pidge didn't want him to lose the chance to escape, and she definitely didn't want to lose the red lion to the Galra. So she did the first thing that came to mind.

"Keep running Keith I'm right behind you!" She yelled. It was the only thing she knew she could do. If she attempted the run the sentries would be all over her in a second.

Keith had soon vanished from her sight. A few moments passed before the red lion rose and exited the hanger. Pidge stood watching him until the sentries seized her from behind and dragged her to the cell. She liked to think that the reason for her tears were from the pain emanating from her wrists as it was squeezed in their grip. And maybe they were. Or maybe they were from the thought of how hard it was going to be for the other paladins when they found she wasn't with them.

The Galra had hurled her into a cell having already stripped her of the green paladin armor, leaving her in the black under suit. The cell door slammed shut and she was left with nothing but a sliver of light from the door.

Lifting her wrist she managed to see that her wrist was slightly swollen, but not too bad. Sighing she leaned against the wall of her cell, head tilted back, eyes closed. From Shiro to any other prisoner they managed to rescue she knew she had to mentally prepare herself for what was to come.

Minutes later the door slid open, and Pidge was rising to her feet. Her hazel eyes hardened at the figure standing in the doorway. For what felt like hours the two remained still just looking upon the other. Without warning the figure started moving towards her. Instinctively she backed up, she had nothing to defend herself with other than her hands. She didn't even have a chance to react before something stuck the back of her head and everything went black.
