"What now?" Neville asked, having just watched the demigods send letters to the camps.
"We tell your school the truth," Annabeth said.
"You mean our school," Ron corrected.
Annabeth smiled. "Yes. Sorry."
"Well, as much as I admire your willingness to be honest, I'm afraid you can't expose your true identities until all the students are back from Winter Break," McGonagall said.
"No worries." Percy shrugged. "We can wait."
"And in the meantime." Hermione fixed her eyes on the demigods. "We need to talk."
The demigods would never know why their wizard friends always felt the need to say the exact same words whenever they had to discuss something in private.
They would never understand why they had to keep saying "we need to talk", much like how the wizards didn't get why the demigods always insisted on sitting under the pine tree near the Black Lake whenever they needed to have a serious conversation.
"What's up?" Percy asked, once everyone had settled down under the tree that reminded him oh so much of Thalia Grace.
Ron held up one finger. "First things first, we're sorry."
"For...?" Annabeth waited for them to elaborate.
"For being jerks," Ginny finished. "For being stupid, ignorant, arrogant, overdramatic, horrible friends, unforgiving, arseholes, horrid, absurd-"
"We get it," Katie said, stunned at how Ginny could find so many words to describe their behaviour within one breath. "Besides, you weren't any of those things. We understand that you guys were shocked by the news. I'm surprised you haven't gone insane."
"The childhood trauma prepared us for this," Harry grinned. "Seeing all those monsters in the Manor... I'm glad you guys kept us out of it. I think I'll never have a proper night's rest after seeing all those monsters."
"We haven't been the greatest friends recently," Hermione admitted. Her eyes trailed over to Annabeth. "We could've handled the situation wiser. Not talking to you guys- even if it was just for a few days- and seeing you be put into danger constantly made me feel terrible. I mean, I know what it's like. We all do. No one deserves to be treated the way we treated you all because you guys were being honest. The Sorting Hat had said Percy was loyal, and we should've listened."
Annabeth nodded stiffly, knowing that Hermione had been hinting at her being kidnapped by Luke when she mentioned them being put into constant danger, similar to how her and Ron had fallen into a trap that had been set up for them.
"You're forgiven."
The wizards stared at Percy bewilderedly.
"Really?"
"Of course," Travis agreed. The wizards sighed in relief, and Neville, who had been informed of the situation by Luna a few days ago, beamed, apparently happy that his friends would no longer be uncomfortable around each other anymore.
"Yay!" Tyson squealed, getting up to hug each and every one of them.
After succeeding in hugging all of his new and old friends, he sat back down.
"Second thing." Ron held up a second finger with his right hand, while the other smoothed out his hair, which had been ruffled after Tyson had hugged him. "Who in Merlin's name is coming to our school? You mentioned someone named Frank?"
Percy drummed his fingers on his lap, appearing to think about how he should introduce his friends to the ones he had back home in America.
"Well, Frank is a distant relative. He's a descendant of Neptune, Son of Mars and a shapeshifter."
"You mean a metamorphmagus?" Ron said.
"Same thing."
Hermione looked offended. "It is not!"
Backup arrived on the day before Christmas Eve, leaving the demigods who arrived that morning to wonder if the gods' gift to them was the knowledge of certain death.
On that day, almost two weeks after the demigods had called on them, the first and fifth legion arrived through the Forbidden Forest.
A second-year had scrambled into the Gryffindor Common Room, yelling for Annabeth. When the very much annoyed Daughter of Athena emerged from her dorm, she was surprised when the twelve-year-old described a scary looking lady looking for her.
She had introduced herself as Reyna.
Annabeth went to fetch Hermione and Ginny, before waking Harry, Ron and Travis up. Together, they ventured to where the second-year had spotted Reyna: the Forbidden Forest.
They would have to call Percy, Katie, Nico and Luna later. Silena, Leo, Calypso and Tyson were left to share a special room McGonagall had provided them with, for they had no magical blood in them and could not be sorted. Annabeth would have to tell them later, too.
There was simply not enough time to alert all of her friends of Reyna's arrival when the said praetor was waiting.
When she and her friends reached the scene, they found their other friends already waiting there.
"What are you doing here?" Annabeth asked bewilderedly, more than shocked to find her Boyfriend there.
Percy pointed at a group of teens ranging from fourteen to seventeen wearing orange nonchalantly, as if it was perfectly normal for him to be summoned there.
"Grover and I's empathy link," Percy supplied. "He told me that they were already here and to meet them at the Forbidden Forest."
Sure enough, when Annabeth peered over Percy's shoulders, she spotted Grover, his two horns hidden under a cap but still visible enough to look suspicious.
Annabeth went over to embrace Grover, glad she could meet her old friend again after so long. Jason and Piper promptly punched Leo in the gut, but Annabeth could see tears prick at their eyes. She didn't want to ruin the moment, but they had business to attend to. She turned to Reyna.
"Welcome to Hogwarts," Annabeth said, her voice clear. Grover and the demigods looked over to Annabeth, who was speaking to all of them as a whole. "You know what it's like to fight together. During the Giant War, we fought alongside like friends. Now, this summer, we will have an alliance with Hecate's domain. We will fight side by side to prevent Luke Castellan from taking over the world once again."
The Greek campers looked like they understood. All of them had been there when Chiron exposed them to the magical world. Most had fought in the Titan War, so they were perfectly clear on who Luke Castellan was.
"I'm afraid you'll have to back up there," Frank said. He looked sheepish. "Who is Luke Castellan, and why is he taking over the world again?"
Annabeth mentally slapped herself. She, Percy, Travis, Katie and Luna had told them about Hecate's domain, the wizards, but they had forgotten to introduce the Romans to Luke Castellan, the one who caused the Titan War.
"It's a long story." Annabeth's gaze landed on the castle behind them. "But I'll save that story for later. Right now, it's time for breakfast, and you guys are our guests."
Harry grinned. "I'm Harry Potter, by the way. Let's go to the Great Hall. We can talk while we eat."
