"Ah, you blew my cover," the Cyclops said, its voice too similar to Travis's for their own liking. "I guess I'll just have to kill you all now."

Percy uncapped Riptide. "I'm in for another round."

Katie and Harry stood up shakily, following the others as they held their weapon or wand. Luna retrieved her wand from the ground.

"You're outnumbered," Annabeth said. "Give up already."

The foolish Cyclops smiled brightly, mocking them as the demigods wore knowing and triumphant smiles. "I am five times the size of all of you! Losing is not an option."

"You should really think outside the box," Percy advised sarcastically, sending a jab the Cyclops's way. The Cyclops staggered backwards whilst Percy had barely put in any effort. "Losing may not be an option, but dying definitely is."

"That is the ultimate insult!" the Cyclops roared, its fingers wrapped around its club tightly.

"Nah, man, that was just the truth."

The Cyclops lunged at Percy, its right hand swinging with his club and the left grabbing for the others.

However, that left the Cyclops unfocused as he tried to grasp demigods and wizards while dodging skilled attacks from Percy. It didn't take long before the others started attacking and defending themselves, making the Cyclops's job about a hundred times harder.

"Sectumsempra!" Harry screamed when the Cyclops knocked over Ginny. He vowed never to use that spell again, but for Ginny, he was willing to.

A large gash formed on the Cyclops's stomach, bringing it to howl in pain. It clutched the wound, falling to its knees. Percy brought his sword to the Cyclops's neck.

Perhaps he should've been hesitant when it came to attacking the Cyclops, considering he had a brother of the same species, but he was too blinded by fury to think.

Annabeth felt the same way. A Cyclops had impersonated her friends to lure them into a trap. That reminded her too much of an experience she had already gone through so many years ago. She forgot about the friendly Cyclops back in camp, only embracing the rage she felt at that moment. She had been deceived yet again. She couldn't stand that. She was a daughter of Athena. She didn't like being tricked.

"Why were you working with the Eidolons?" Percy demanded, realising that the Cyclops had only served as a way to bring them into the room to fight the possessed.

"We work for our master!"

Hermione furrowed her brows. "What master? What are you?"

"I am a Cyclops, mortal," the Cyclops answered, obvious distaste in its voice. "I will not tell you my master."

"Mortal?" Ginny repeated. "You act as if everyone else in this room isn't mortal. You are one too, aren't you?"

"How exciting! You haven't told them!" the Cyclops cackled. By the way it laughed, it might have been the funniest thing in the world. Percy moved his blade closer to the its neck, signalling for it to shut up. The strangled sounds of laughter faded.

Ron's gaze landed on the demigods. "Told us what?"

"Not now."

"Okay," Ron breathed, slightly intimidated by Percy's tone.

"We'll give you one last chance," Annabeth said, lifting her arm with her own sword in hand. "Tell us your master or die."

The wizards inhaled sharply, obviously not used to such threats. Sure, they lived through a war, but they found it surprising that people their age could be so vicious. However, the Cyclops did try to kill them, so they guessed it made up for it.
