CHAPTER 15

[Darshan]
I hope she is taking rest well. I called her many times but she didn't pick up my calls. At last at nearly 3, she picked her phone.

Darshan (in disdain) : Hi Aditi! Thank god u picked up my call. Do u have any problems or what?? U r never picking up my calls on time.....

Rajesh: Mmm... Hello... Actually Aditi is working... U may call after her shift which will get over by nearly 12.30.

Darshan: Oh thanks... But who r u?

Rajesh : Oh sorry! I am Rajesh and u?

Darshan : Well, u might have seen the name on the screen.... Anyways I am Darshan

Rajesh: Oh darshan! Actually the screen displayed "Fattu" ... So...

Darshan: Hww.... How could she do that?!

Then I heard Aditi calling Rajesh

Rajesh: Darshan, I am having some work, so I will talk to u later, And yes u may take my number later on so we can catch up sometime soon

Darshan : Yes... Sure.....

A little part of me was jealous of Rajesh while I was angry on Aditi. I asked her to take rest but she couldn't!! I decided to approach her.

[Aditi]
I took leave from my work at nearly 12.20 AM. As I stepped out, I saw him waiting for someone. By someone, I mean for me. He approached me and shivers ran down my spine. I decided to avoid him bcoz he was constantly bringing back my memories of my past. He blurted out, "Hey, Sheena Didi asked u to take rest and how could u not obey her?? Is it too hard for u to obey someone? ". I said, "Why are you worried about me. What is your problem?? If I live or die, it's not ur problem nor ur issue... So just please get the fuck out of here". He hung his head and said, "Hey, listen I am sorry... I was just so angry on u bcoz u didn't follow the instructions and please never ever say about dying.... Please... ". It was so adorable and cute. I just got melted and said, "It's okay" but wait, I wasn't supposed to say that. I was supposed to avoid him but the words came out of my mouth automatically. Slowly we started walking and I turned into the small forest where Mike must be waiting for me. "Where are you going? The road to ur house is led by this straight road, BTW ", Darshan complained. I remained silent. "Hey, Adi ! U r scaring me", he said. "Adi? ", I echoed in silence. "Well, I was thinking to give you a cute nickname. Did you like it? ", he asked. "Whatever... ", I said rolling my eyes. And once we came into the clearing, he gasped with astonishment. "Wow! This is beautiful ", he said. "I know! This is the place where I always come. It might be the time when I am happy or sad.. ", I explained to him. But why was I doing this? No one knew about it except Rajesh. Suddenly something shuffled in the bush behind us. Darshan tapped my shoulder and pointed to the bush. I furrowed my brows and moved towards the bush ready to fight any stranger. And to my great surprise it was Mike! "Oh Mike!! U scared us", I said as it licked my face. Then I realised that Darshan was behind us. "Oh", I gasped and said. "Darshan, this is Mike... My best friend and Mike this is Darshan. Say hi to him", I said and Mike barked at Darshan cutely. "Hello", Darshan said in a childish tone as Mike got out of my grip and was pulling my jacket. "Oh! I totally forgot... U must be hungry!!", I said taking out a packet of biscuits and lay down 3 to 4 for it. "Will u like to have some? ", I asked him. "No, thanks! I don't eat dog biscuits!! ", he said dramatically. "They r not dog biscuits, u fool! They r normal biscuits... ", I said taking a bite from one biscuit. "Oh", he said as he took a biscuit from the packet and I sat down on the edge facing the full moon and Darshan sat beside me. Mike after completing his biscuits, came and sat beside me, sticking his tongue out. The moment was so lovely. "For how long are you going to stay here? ", he interrogated. "If you want to go then u may proceed", I said. "It's not that but ur family members will be worried.... So... ", he justified. "My family is acquainted with it... ", I said. I sat there nearly for 1 hour when I saw Darshan sleeping on my shoulder. I slightly patted him to wake him up and he woke up with a jerk; as if he didn't know where he was. "Go home", I softly said. "No.. No... I will walk u home..", he said. "Don't worry.. I will go home by myself... U seem extremely tired", I said. "But not as much as u", he said winking at me. "What ever... ", I said rolling my eyes and he said, "Is that ur primary dialogue when u r out of words? ". I chuckled at this and he said, "Why are you hiding such a beautiful smile from the world everytime? ". "Go home kid", I said as I ruffled his hair and got up from my place. "Bye Mike", I said as I patted it. On my way back home, I was all smiling. Bcoz of him!! The tortures that day didn't hurt much and I wanted to stay awake all night to think about him. I don't know what has happened to me....
