This is one movie that I really enjoyed as a kid and want to be remade into a live action version. However, there would be more songs in the live action film than the animated version. The age of Ariel I also want to change to 18 to fit the actress better.

One reason she would be perfect for Ariel is her great singing voice— she was in The Greatest Showman and has a way with musicals. She has had a lot of experience in musical theatre and acting. She also has such a bubbly and fun personality! Her appearance is also something new and fresh. Zendaya, in my opinion, is perfect for our star mermaid!
Diego Boneta as Prince Eric

Diego would be a good choice for Eric due to his charm and great singing voice! I can just see him now as Prince Eric.
Melissa McCarthy as Ursula

There have been many reports recently that McCarthy is supposedly going to play Ursula in the live action adaption, but I don't know exactly if they are true just yet. Anyways, this actress is really funny and can play different parts really well. Even though she hasn't been in many musicals, she has a pretty good singing voice. Her comedic side could also help with those musical numbers a lot.
