Ember's Pov

I set my bag down on the floor by my door and I flopped down in my bed. I let out a breath and sighed. The cool quilt felt nice against my hot skin. I decided to get a little bit of work done. I cleaned my apartment a little bit and did the laundry. I rearranged my room to make it neater and I felt very productive of myself. I folded my clothes away and hung the rest. I closed the closet door. A few hours passed and I was finished. I grabbed my laptop, that was sitting on the nightstand. I grabbed it and opened it up. I went through all of my emails since I hadn't in a little while. Most of them were junk. After that I closed the tab and opened up YouTube. It was around 8:30.I got bored. And onto the weird side of YouTube. I closed my laptop screen and went into my living room. I sat down in a bar stool And grabbed my phone. I texted Devan to come over because I was lonely. A few minuets later my door swung open and there Devan stood with his phone in his hand.

"Hey Dev," I said

"Hey!" He chirped back

He came over and sat next to me. He pulled up our conversation over text and showed it to me. It was the spam of me saying I'm lonely and hurry up.

"You're pathetic y'know," he said

"Yep I know!" I said with a smile.

Devan laughed at me then kissed my cheek. 

He came over and sat in the stool next to me. 

"So what do you wanna do? he asked 

"I dunno," I replied 

"Wanna call a movie marathon again?" He asked

"Yes!" I squealed as I jumped up and almost fell out of the chair at the same time. I ran over to the other side of the island and threw a microwave packet inside. Devan laughed his very charming laugh at me as I was being clumsy. I grabbed a bowl and Devan had gotten up to grab the bag out of the microwave. He opened it and poured it into the bowl. I got into the fridge and grabbed two bottles of water for us. I grabbed the bowl and headed to my room with Devan behind me. I put the bowl down on the middle of the bed along with the waters. I took the television remote off of my nightstand and turned it on. I let Devan pick out a movie. We laid down on my bed and watched it. Only a few minuets into the movie Devan snaked his arm around me and pulled me against him. his hot skin sent chills down my spine.I nuzzled my neck into the crook of his neck and we finished our movie. We watched a few more and ended with a sweet Disney movie. It was around 11:46 when we turned the t.v. off. The darkness swarmed around us

"Are you gonna stay?" I whispered to him 

"well duh, why would I leave now?" he replied

I laughed and tried to roll out of Devan's arms. He whined but let me go. I flick the small lamp on next to my bed on and got up. I went over to my closet and took out my pajama shorts and a tank top so I could get out of my jean shorts and crop top. Before I changed I looked back at Devan. I made a circular motion with my finger to make him turn aground. He obeyed and faced to wall with his hands over his eyes. I quickly changed and the jumped onto my bed next to Devan. He grabbed me and pulled me towards his now shirtless self and kissed my neck softly.

"Goodnight baby" Devan whispered into my ear

I smiled in the darkness at the name

"Goodnight Babe," I replied softly
