Author's Note:
So, thank you guys for giving this mess of a parody one hundred reads in like, a week. I'm really glad that you all actually like it and will make sure to give you quality chapters. Whenever I write these chapters I have a song in mind so expect those at the beginning of the chapter. I also added them to previous chapters too! (I listen to a lot of Red Velvet and SHINee so expect them often lolol)Song: One and Only You by Got7 ft. Hyolyn
"What have you done?!"
*Kim Yugyeom, don't lie to me. ;-;* Tightly, he gripped his phone to prevent his brother from taking it. "She's crying now!" "It's just an emoji-" "I don't care!" Shakily running his hand through his hair, Yugyeom reviewed all of his options. Should he tell the truth that his brother took his phone, that would imply that he had no intention of responding to her. What if he said that his brother edited the first part in? That would mean he still lied about being sick. As much as (Y/N) wanted to believe that lie, the memory of his watery eyes as he grasped her hands prevented that. Growing anxious by the lack of response she began typing again.
*Yugyeom, are you supposed to be sick a second time now-* Before the girl was able to hit send a message popped.
*Im sorry. I shouldve just let you do what was comfortable. I keep trying to force what I think is right on you and Im sorry. it wont happen again.*
*Call me.*
Though his brother begged for a peek at the phone, Yugyeom simply left with it. After mustering up all of the courage in his body, he did as (Y/N) asked.Youngjae had never wanted to slap someone's hand like he did Yugyeom's. Reviewing the rules his girlfriend had set out for both of the boys, he wondered if she thought it ok for the youngest to grab her hand once age walked into the history room. Taken aback by the action, (Y/N) stared at him in disbelief, searching for words. "Are you trying to provoke me?" Youngjae's eyes were laced with venom as he glared at Yugyeom. He hadn't expected his friend's rage and tightened his grip on (Y/N)'s hand, seeking protection from her. Youngjae's girlfriend simply gazed at him with eyes that longed for his answer. "No, Youngjae. I'm just doing what I want to. I-I'm being authentic." With his explanation Yugyeom made it clear that he had only done what (Y/N) asked and understanding this, she squeezed his hand back, giving him the protection he wanted. "I told him to just be authentic with me." Youngjae hadn't expected that his friend had been acting under your authority, and thus there was a moment of silence in the room. "Then does that also extend to me?" "Youngjae, you're my boyfriend, of course it does." "Then, I love you, (Y/N)." Unconsciously, the girl I'm question clutched the fabric that covered her heart. Never expecting to be told that, she froze on the spot. 'Youngjae can't mean that. We're dumb softmores. He just thinks that it's love, when really it's nothing but a crush.' JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, and BamBam didn't even feel like they were in the room, rather that they were watching a drama on TV. Notcing the fact that Yugyeom's shoulders had tensed and was biting his lip, Jackson gave him the voice he couldn't seem to find. "Do you have something to say, Yugyeom?" Though he'd only prompted a question, he knew that the youngest's feelings would come pouring out. "Actually, (Y/N), I love you too." She wasn't sure of where she was staring as he mind screamed for her to abort. Unable to form words, she gave a small chuckle before running out of the room.
For the next few months, no matter how vague and ambiguous (Y/N) was, the boys' confessions and devotion wouldn't stop. Promising her neverending affection, she was met with sweet gestures daily from both Yugyeom and Youngjae. All Yugyeom needed from (Y/N) was to stay by his side, but no matter how much she wanted to, she couldn't promise him that. Youngjae broke the rules of their agreement more frequently, though he didn't mean to be malicious, he felt attacked and couldn't help but do things to upset his contender. Despite disagreeing with (Y/N) not being wholly committed to Youngjae Jinyoung started preaching to his friend about how inspite of that, what mattered was if she was happy or not. Seeing his friend as someone who stuck the straight and narrow path, this shocked Youngjae to no end. "It's hard to stop thinking that you're falling out of love on your own, so help her out. Sing to her or something, act cute." Initially he shot down Mark's idea, thinking that something like that would never work on (Y/N).
Tennis had been over quite some time now and dance had started. Keeping it a secret that he was joining, Yugyeom surprised her on the first day, causing (Y/N) to hug him out of excitement. Fearing this very situation, Youngjae presented her with flowers and a song that same day once practice had finished. Thinking that it would never work just as he had told Mark, he was presently surprised when it did. (Y/N) was awestruck by his voice. She'd always known that he was talented, it was one of the reasons she convinced herself to date him, but his beautiful voice targeted towards her was something she'd never expected. Through the entire presentation Yugyeom was by (Y/N)'s side. It made Youngjae that more nervous, but it was a consequence of what he had done. The two spoke less frequently during the months that passed. Youngjae would never answer Yugyeom's calls, and when the youngest showed up at his home he'd barely acknowledge his presence. At some point Yugyeom had stopped trying. Youngjae would always be one of his bestfriends, but that didn't mean he had to deal with being treated badly. He knew it was wrong, Youngjae was well aware of the fact that they should reconcile, but would back out whenever he decided to take the effort to. 'We'll always be friends. So you can't just ignore me when something goes wrong, Youngjae..' These words were stuck at the back of his mind, and whenever he asked his girlfriend for advice she'd urge him to fix it.
Placing all of the blame on herself, (Y/N) cursed herself for disrupting their perfect friendship, never wanting to be a person who did that. JB's troubles and responsibilities regarding the group had now doubled. Jinyoung who falls into the expectations that everyone has for him, BamBam who has a difficult enough time at home and judges himself for wanting to live his own life, Mark who fears the repercussions for expressing himself freely, Jackson...who was the school's beloved jock. There was more to Jackson than that and (Y/N) knew it, but with the student body forcing this archetype onto him, it was hard to remember that. She wasn't sure what troubled him, but as of late he seemed aggravated. The young woman was convinced that it was all her fault. The boys relied on eachother and she was getting in the way. Regardless of how much of an inconvenience she viewed herself as, they would never feel the same way. (Y/N) was a special friend to all of them, and they were well aware that she didn't want this to happen. No matter the outcome they would support her, and she'd give them her all.
