Neji Hyuga: a self proclaimed destiny reader.

Yes, you did read that right. Neji Hyuga always spouted on and on about his ability to see into one's being, deciding whether they would fail in life, or succeed. A truly interesting ability, but not one many would pay attention to, or even believe. Ridiculous, they'd call it.

Did you believe in it? Nah, 'course not. There was no way he could be able to do something like that, it's humanly impossible!

Sure, he had the Byakugan and all, but could he really see into the future like he says he can?

This, you were intent on finding out. One way or another, you would confront Neji Hyuga and see exactly what it is this "ability" was all about!

"So.. Neji." Your voice chirped as you were training with the long-haired male. "Is it true?"

Neji's eyes flickered upwards to yours. Ceasing all movements, he drops his kunai to the ground and eyes you with curiosity, apprehension. "What do you mean?" He questioned.

"Well, all this 'destiny' stuff." Too engrossed in your conversation to continue, Neji begins packing his weaponry away, until he freezes mid-action and casts his blank gaze in your direction again.

You didn't seem to notice, sheepishly kicking at the grass with your shoe until he spoke. "(Name), are you doubting me?" Voice snapping you from your thoughts, you begin to panic, desperately addressing the situation.

Oh, no, he thinks I'm calling him a liar!

Your cheeks grew red as you soon became flustered, stinging your skin with embarrassment at the topic you just had to bring up. "N-No, I just, well, I was curious as to if it was true or not is all." Your tone was now high and squeaky. "I-I mean, many people are talking about it, y'know?!"

"Hmph." Neji sighed audibly and lifted his right hand, signalling you closer. Cocking your head, you obliged to his request out of mere curiosity, strolling forward until you stood right in front of the Hyuga.

In a swift movement, his calloused, gentle fingers take your chin in a firm grip. Tilting your head up, he forces your gaze to his, blank orbs digging into your (E/c) ones. "(Name), never doubt my abilities."

Was he.. lecturing you?

"I-I'm sorry.." Now, this was just humiliating. Why did you have to bring up the topic anyway? Anyone else could have done it, TenTen for one! She always was closer to him, the two probably had something going on. Oh no, what if they were a couple? You couldn't hand-

"However, if you always blush like that when you do, I wouldn't mind it at all."

Did you really just hear that right? Blinking a few times, your brows scrunch as you try to make heads or tails of the situation.

"N-Neji, wh-" He cut you off by enveloping you tightly in his arms.

"It's clear now, (Name),

there are many 'what-ifs' in this world,

but you are the one thing I'm sure of.

You are my destiny."
