Rolling over and finding an empty side of the bed was becoming more and more common. Ever since Minato had become Hokage he'd been so busy and of course you understood, he had to protect an entire village, thousands of people but that didn't change the hallow feeling in your chest when you realized he wasn't there.

You decided to get up and see if he was even home and much to your disappointment he wasn't. That was a first, usually he at least brought work home so if he wasn't here he must still be in his office.

He needed to come to bed, he'd hadn't been sleeping enough. So with your blanket wrapped around you, you headed up to his office and even at this late hour there were guards by the door.

"Lady, Y/N are you alright?" One asked while the other tried to stifle back a laugh at your sleepy expression and bedhead.

You nod. "Just here for my husband." You say walking past them.

You're greeted by the sight of Minato practically drooling into his paperwork but the sudden sound of the doors opening was enough to wake him up and he couldn't have hoped for a better sight than you. "You look great." He said tiredly.

His sleepy smile paired with the compliment made you blush, he was such a cutie. "I'd look better in bed." You teased smiling.

That seemed to wake him up. "What?" He asked.

"Come back to bed. And see if you heard me properly." You say sending him a wink as you leave.

The guards can't help but to laugh when they see Minato book it out of the office.
