about you and still loves you." -Elbert Hubbard
<< Therapy Session >>
It's been a tough week for the Winchesters, they had gotten a call from Missouri Mosley about one of her friends being killed. They went to help out Missouri, meeting her granddaughter, Patience, in the process--in the end they killed the monster, but lost Missouri.
Dakota didn't remember much about Missouri, having met the woman when she was four, but she knew that the psychic was kind and funny.
It was sad for all three of the Winchesters, each of them feeling quilt for not being able to save the woman.
"Hey, how you feelin'?" Sam's voice breaks Dakota out of her thoughts. She blinks and shuts her book, running a hand through her hair.
Her and Dean were sitting at the war-room table, Dean looking through his computer while Dakota flipped through a book mindlessly. Dakota and Dean spare Sam a glance, but neither of them making a move to answer his question.
"What you, uh, what you working on?" Sam asks awkwardly.
"Dead guy in Madison." Dean answers tersely, writing something on a notepad. "Police say it was a home invasion, but neighbor claims that she was the vic's dead wife leave the crime scene."
"Let's check it out." Sam offers, walking down the stairs to them.
"What, you ready to ditch Damien?" Dean questions sarcastically. "What do you wanna do? Leave him in a ring of holy oil with some Netflix and a frozen pizza?"
"Sounds fun." Dakota responds absentmindedly, her focus on her hands.
"Ha." Sam deadpans over Dakota's words, handing her a coffee from his drink holder. "No. Actually...I thought we'd, uh, bring him along."
Dean scoffs, smiling without amusement. "Uh, hell, no. What, 'Adventures in Babysitting' the Antichrist? No, thank you."
"Dean, we can't hide him forever." Sam says, taking off his jacket and tossing it on Dakota. She just lets it hit against her, too preoccupied with her thoughts. "And, you know, just keeping him cooped up here isn't working."
"Yeah, it is, actually." Dean snaps, looking up at Sam. "You wanna know why? Because as long as he's here, he's not out there doing God knows what. So what, does this mean that your plan for bringing mom back isn't working? 'Cause I'll say it again--mom's dead, Sam. Lucifer ripped out her freakin' heart. Now the sooner you can wrap your head around that, the sooner we can all move on."
