That would mean… No it couldn’t be, I quickly brushed aside the thought and followed everyone else into the forest.  After walking for a few seconds, everyone stopped.  We all stood at attention in front of Jiro who was sitting on his back legs calmly.  Everything was silent.  Jiro stood up and gave a loud growl and everyone was off running in different directions.  I found myself following Artie, Meo, and Mace as we made a sharp turn to the left.  We continued on running for a while until Artie came to a sudden halt and bent down to the ground examining a small hoof print.  He stood up and smiled in satisfaction.

“What is it?” I asked.  Meo rolled his eyes like it would be obvious while Mace was blankly staring at the hoof print.

“It’s Hinda’s hoof print.  This is great, if we capture a group leader we’ll definitely get some bragging rights,” he replied.  I remembered how he had mentioned that all group leaders could turn into their animals.  Did that include Ace?  What about me?  I could transform into a wolf.

“Um, Artie,” I said getting his attention.

“Hm?” he replied still inspecting the hoof print.

“Are there any regular members that can transform into animals,” I asked.

“Not that I can think of.  Why?” he asked standing up.

“Well you see…” I began and took a deep breath before transforming into a wolf.  There was shock on everyone’s faces even a bit on Mace’s face.  Artie slowly composed himself.

“Well that’s…” he said.  I lowered my head sadly.  Was I going to lose another friend because of what I was?

“This is a great advantage!” yelled Meo.  Artie and I turned to him in confusion.

“Think about it.  If we have her, we’ll definitely win!” he said.

“You’re right.  Let’s just worry about telling the others later,” continued Artie reassuringly.  I wagged my tail happily and looked up at my new friends.

“Think you can track it?” Asked Meo bending down to examine the hoof print again.  I gave a nod, walked over and sniffed the print.  I could feel an invisible path opening it’s way up in front of me, leading me to the owner of this print.  I ran off my friends followed.  After a minute, I checked behind me and saw that my friends had fallen far behind.  I slowed down into a swift trot and waited for them to catch up.  After they caught up, I stopped and let them catch their breaths.  I walked forward a few paces and a deer jumped in front of my path.

“Hinda!” Artie yelled before the deer darted away.  I sprinted after her and easily caught up with her.  She began kicking back into my face, but I swerved and ran up beside her.  Then I did something incredibly stupid, I jumped into her and side tackled her.  We both went tumbling and came to a stop.  I transformed out of my wolf form and sat up.

“Ow!” I cried as my head throbbed.

“It was you,” asked Hinda in awe as she sat up too.

“I thought that there was a real wild wolf on my tail. Thank God!” she said letting out a sigh of relief.  I mumbled an apology and stood up.
