Two days had passed before we had it back to the sunny state of Florida - Jacksonville, to be more specific. I was excited for the Florida sun to hit my skin again and welcome me the same way it had a month before; it felt like a fading memory, so much had changed since then.

Since we were planning on staying in Jacksonville for the weekend, we had all agreed on getting a hotel suite for the weekend; it made sense to give everyone their privacy for the next few days instead of living on the bus together - nine people on one bus, not including Randy, could get pretty crowded, not to mention stressful. The guys were used to it, though.

As a scrolled through my Facebook newsfeed on my iPhone, I took another bite of my bagel. Everyone else was sleeping; we had been up pretty late last night.

I took another bite as I looked up from my phone. There were dark shadows emerging from the hall, along with a soft murmur of voices. I stared at the entryway patiently, waiting to witness who was up so early.

Suddenly Kells walked into the kitchen. He wasn't looking forward, in my direction, but behind him. I watched intently, taking another bite of my bagel in the process, as the mystery figure behind him finally came into light - Haylee.

I scoffed lightly, rolling my eyes. They hadn't seemed to notice I was sitting here, but I didn't dare move. I would much rather watch him in action.

We hadn't spoken a word to each other since his little stunt in Charlotte. Frankly, I was relieved to know how he really felt about me. If he didn't have any genuine feelings toward me, I didn't have any towards him. I was petty like that.

Kells put his arm loosely around Haylee's shoulders as he whispered something in her ear; her eyebrows shot up as she smirked at him. I cleared my throat after a second, totally repulsed.

Kells glanced up at me, directly meeting my gaze; his face was blank, showing no emotion at all. His blue eyes narrowed as he looked me over before turning back to Haylee. I scoffed again.

Haylee eyed me curiously as Kells led her to the exit of the suite. They exchanged a few words before he finally closed the door behind her. I took another bite of my bagel, turning my attention back to my phone.

I heard his bare feet pat against the carpeted ground as he walked back into the kitchen. "I didn't realize you were here," he said finally, making his way to the stocked refrigerator - thanks to Ashleigh.

"Not like I haven't heard that one before," I mumbled quietly. He seemed to have not heard me because he continued to rummage through the refrigerator until he found something to satisfy his search; he took out a large bottle of Ciroc, cracking open the cap.

I scoffed. "Don't you think it's a little early?" I questioned, watching him take a small sip.

"Not at all," he said, taking another sip. "You obviously don't know me."

"Obviously not," I replied.

It had a double meaning, but who knows if he would actually catch it. Sometimes he could be so dense. I quickly cleaned up my space as he took another sip out of the bottle. I stuffed my phone in my hoodie pocket and stood up from the stool I was sitting on, heading toward the living room. I heard his footsteps follow me.

I fell on the leather couch, pulling my hood over my dark hair. The only thing on my mind was cuddling up on the couch and taking a quick nap. Just as I began to close my eyes, I heard his voice.

"Sage, can we just be friends, please? It would make this tour a lot easier."

I finally glanced over at him. He was shirtless with his dark gray sweatpants on. His hair was a mess - it was all the time, but messier than usual. I wasn't naive, I knew why.
