Many hours later, the sky started to change color, which lets Toril know that it is finally the afternoon. Toril got dressed in a traditional Viking Chief attire since she is going to officiate the wedding between Mikael and his bride-to-be. Toril grabbed a Norse bible that her ancestors wrote in Norwegian. Toril then leaves her office, and she walks out of the house, seeing four warriors patrolling around her property. Toril walks up to her warriors, and she tells them that she is going to Atticus' place since she is going to officiate Mikael's wedding. The four warriors nod their heads, and they accompanied Toril to the location of the wedding ceremony. Toril sees villagers bowing at the sight of her, and she politely nods her head at them.
Ten minutes later, Toril and her four warriors arrived at the wedding ceremony, which is Atticus' house, and Mikael's childhood home. Toril and her four warriors enter the house, and Toril looks around since it is her first time being inside Mikael's childhood home. Toril blinks when she sees a painting on a wall, which is surrounded by flowers. Toril noticed that the image is of a handsome young man with long wavy dark brown hair and hazel-brown eyes wearing a traditional Viking warrior attire.
" That is my eldest son, Elijah," A male voice speaks up.
Toril turns around, and she sees Atticus walking up to her. Toril then looks back at the painting of Elijah.
" I didn't know Mikael had an older brother," Toril tells Atticus. " Will he be attending the wedding?" Toril curiously asked Atticus.
" In spirit," Atticus tells Toril. " Elijah passed away when Mikael was a young boy-," Atticus stares at the painting with a sadden expression.
Toril's eyes widened, and she frowns since Mikael didn't tell him about Elijah as well as his passing. Toril can't help, but feel sorry for Mikael since he also lost a loved one.
"-Elijah got killed during the battle between our Village and our enemy's village," Atticus explains to Toril.
" I am sorry for your loss," Toril tells Atticus while feeling terrible for what happened to Elijah, and she immediately figured that Elijah's death is the reason why Atticus doesn't want Mikael to be a warrior.
Atticus turns to look at Toril.
" Please, follow me. The wedding ceremony is outside at the back of the house," Atticus tells Toril and the four warriors.
Toril nods her head, and she walks out of the house with Atticus and the four warriors followed behind them. Toril looks straight, and she sees the wedding ceremony, and she thinks that it looks nice and simple.
" Beautiful, isn't it?" Atticus asked Toril.
Toril nods her head, and she walks towards the 'altar' where she is going to officiate the wedding. Toril turns around while the four warriors stood behind her to protect her. Toril looked straight, and she froze when she sees Mikael stepping out of the house wearing a traditional Viking groom attire.
Mikael looks forward, and he stops walking when he sees Toril standing at the altar with four warriors behind her. Mikael's eyes glanced at the Norse bible in her hands, and he knew right away that Toril is going to officiate the wedding. Mikael blinks when he hears his name, and he turns his head to the right, and he sees his Father, Atticus standing next to him.
" Mikael. Chief Toril has agreed to officiate the wedding," Atticus tells Mikael.
" Great," Mikael sarcastically tells Atticus while looking at Toril, who is now reading the Norse bible. Mikael is happy to see Toril, but he felt awkward since he is going to be in the same area as his true love and his future wife.
" Why don't you go greet Chief Toril and tell her that you are thankful to have her officiate the wedding," Atticus tells Mikael.
Mikael nods his head, and he walks down the aisle and towards Toril. Mikael stops walking, and he stands in front of her.
" Chief Toril," Mikael calls out to Toril, which causes her to look at him.
" Hello, Mikael," Toril politely greets Mikael. " You must be happy that you are getting married, right?" Toril asked Mikael while faking a smile.
Mikael's eyes sadden, but he faked a smile at Toril.
" Yes. My bride-to-be is a woman named Esther," Mikael tells Toril.
" I see. Your bride-to-be must be beautiful since her name means star," Toril tells Mikael.
Mikael opened his mouth to say something when he hears music playing. Mikael turns around, and he sees Esther stepping out of the house with her Father. Mikael can't help but imagine Toril wearing the wedding dress and not Esther. Mikael blinks when he sees Esther and her Father standing in front of him.
" Who is the one that is giving away the bride?" Toril asked.
" I am. My name is Lukas, and I am Esther's Father," Esther's Father introduced himself while giving Esther away to Mikael, and the couple turned to look at Toril.
Toril and Mikael akwardly stared at each other, but Toril continues to officiate the wedding. An hour later, Mikael and Esther recited their vows, but while Mikael's body is facing Esther, his eyes are looking at Toril as he says his wedding vows. Once the couple finished saying their vows, Toril gives her blessing, and she then tells them to kiss.
Mikael's eyes then look at Esther, and he closed it as he leans towards Esther, and he kisses her on the lips.
Esther happily kissed Mikael back, feeling happy that she has finally married to the most fearsome warrior of their village.
Toril looked at them with a happy expression, but her eyes shown sadness since her heart feels like it has gotten shattered into a million pieces now that Mikael has finally gotten married.
