His Savior [TVD/TO AU Fanfic]

Ch. 12 No matter what, we will follow you

Toril felt terrible for stopping the children's games, but they have a crucial meeting to attend too. Toril enters the bedroom, and she walks up to Freya and Finn. Toril gently placed her hands on their shoulders, and she looks down at them. 

" Freya. Finneas. You two can play later. We have to go to the beach," Toril tells Freya and Finn. 

" Are we going to swim?" Freya curiously asked Toril. 

" No," Toril shakes her head. " I am going to be hosting a meeting at the beach because I have something important to tell everyone," Toril tells Freya. 

Freya excitedly looks at Toril because she is thinking that Toril and Mikael are going to announce to the whole village that they are going to get married. Freya turns to look at Finn, who is smiling at her because he is also excited to have Toril be their new Mother. 

" Let's go!" Freya excitedly tells Toril, and she runs out of the room with Finn following behind her. 

Toril watched the children run with a raised eyebrow, wondering why they are suddenly excited. Toril shrugged, and she leaves the room as she walks out of the house. Toril then meets up with Freya and Finn as she takes their hands, and they walked towards the beach with some of the warriors walking around them in a circular formation. Twenty minutes later, Toril and the children safely arrived at the beach. Freya and Finn's hands immediately grasped Toril's pants as they walked beside her to the middle of the beach. Freya and Finn looked straight, and they smiled when they see Mikael. 

Freya and Finn let go of Toril, and they run towards Mikael. The two siblings immediately stood by Mikael while Mikael gently placed his hands on their shoulders as they watched Toril face the remaining survivors. 

" Everyone. I can tell that you are all devastated that your loved ones are sick and that some of them are gone, but they bravely fought to stay alive, and I know in my heart that the Valkyrie will place them in Valhalla where they will watch over us," Toril looks at her people with a leader-like expression. " And I know for a fact that they would want us to move on," Toril turns her head slightly to look at the village. 

" I can sense that something dangerous is heading our way," Toril looks back at her people. "For us to survive, we must work together to build a craft that will safely take us through the sea to a foreign land that will become our new home," Toril points to the ocean while looking at her people with a stern expression. 

The crowd looked at one another, and they begin to whisper since they don't know what exactly they should do. Half of the people don't want to leave the village since they grew up there while the other half is scared that what is coming is going to get them killed. 

Toril can sense a tension rising, and she has decided to start it before a war breaks out between the villagers. 

" Everyone!" Toril shouts, which causes the villagers to turn their heads to look at her. " I understand that you all are scared and confused-," Toril looks at everyone in the eyes, and she then looks at Freya and Finn who are looking back at her. "-But we must think about the wellbeing of our children since they are our future," Toril looks back at her people.

"  What if we get killed? We do not know what is out there?" A male villager asked Toril while pointing at the ocean. 

Mikael lets go of Freya and Finn, and he walks up to the male villager as he pulls out his sword, and he points it at the man's neck. 

" Mikael," Toril carefully eyes Mikael since she knows that Mikael is protective of her. 

" I trust Chief Toril with my life, and I know in my heart that we will have a safe journey to this New World with Chief Toril as our guide," Mikael tells the male villager. " If you do not want to accompany us to the New World, well I am not sorry for you if whatever is coming takes your life," Mikael's cold blue eyes stared into the male villager's scared eyes. 

Toril worriedly looks at Mikael, and she then looks at the villagers. 

" What do you all say?" Toril asked her villagers. " I understand if you do not want to follow me to the New World. But I have decided for the new generation to have a good and healthy future, I must step down as the Chief of this village because I am going to take those who want to go to the New World with me," Toril tells her people while looking at them with a stern gaze. 

Toril's eyes sadden when she sees half of the people walk away, but she smiled when she sees that the other half stayed at the beach with her, Mikael, Freya, and Finn. Toril blinks when she sees a group of male villagers walked up to her. 

" You are the daughter of the late Chief Niklaus, who saved our lives when we were young boys. No matter what, we will follow you. My men and I can help you built a ship that can take us to this New World," A male figure with a muscular built and wearing a tools belt around his waits smiled at Toril. 

" Thank you. You guys can start today," Toril smiles at the group of men. " And if you guys get hungry, I will come by with food and drinks so that you all would not starve. If you guys get tired, you are welcome to rest because your health is important," Toril tells the group of men. 

A group of female villagers walks up to Toril. 

" We do not mind helping you provide these men with food and drinks. We want what is best for our children," The group of women hugged their children close to them. " So, we have decided to help by making sure these men are feed so that these ships could be built in a faster pace," A female villager smiles at Toril. 

" Thank you," Toril politely nods her head. 

Mikael puts his sword away, and he turns around to look at Toril and the children. Mikael walks up to his family, and he looks at them with a fond expression. 

" Toril. I am going to help these men built this ship. I need to make sure that this vessel would be okay to sail through the ocean," Mikael tells Toril. 

" I understand. The children and I would be at the house if you need us," Toril leans towards Mikael, and she lovingly kisses him on the lips. 

Mikael happily kissed Toril back, and he then pulls away as he turns to look at Freya and Finn. 

" Be good, okay," Mikael tells Freya and Finn. 

" We will," Freya and Finn smiled at Mikael, and they quickly walk up to Toril as they each take her hand. 

" Be careful," Toril and Mikael tell each other. 

Toril and Mikael went their separate ways since Toril has a lot of stuff to do such as pack her family's belongings. Twenty minutes later, Toril, Freya, and Finn safely arrived at the house and they begin to pack their stuff.
