Somewhere in the snowy terrain of Norway, twenty-three-year-old Mikael cuts a man in half by using his favorite sword named Rathul, which means the early morning sun since its golden hilt reminded Mikael of his only daughter, Freya who has blonde hair. Mikael silently watched his enemy' body fall to the ground as blood gushes out of his chest, which fell onto the snowy ground. Mikael smirks when he sees the enemy's scared expression since the last thing the man saw was Mikael's psychotic expression.

Mikael immediately cleans the blood off of his sword, and he puts it away. Mikael looks around his surroundings, and he sees that all of his men have killed their enemies. Mikael nods his head at one of his warriors, who politely nod his head back.

" We should head back to the village," Mikael tells his men since they have finished fighting against their enemies.

Everyone walked towards their horses, and they got on. Mikael's hands tightly grasped the reins of the horse, and he was about to pat the horse's behind with his legs, but a screeching sound grabbed his attention. Mikael lifts his head, and he sees a hawk flying towards his direction with a letter attached to its hind limbs. Mikael held his right arm out to the bird, and he watched it land on his arm.

" A letter address to me?" Mikael asked himself, and he smiled, thinking that the note is from Toril or one of his children.

The hawk flies away from Mikael, and it perches on a tree branch. Mikael opens the letter, and he silently reads it. Mikael's happy expression then changes into anger as he reads the contents of the note.

Mikael.

Something terrible has happened to Freya, but do not worry. Your daughter is safe at my home. I saved Freya from your sister-in-law, Dahlia. Freya explained to me that Esther gave her away to Dahlia. Freya misses you terribly, and now that I know Esther gave Freya away, I am worried about little Finneas. I hope this letter reaches you on time and that you are alive and well.

Sincerely,

Chief Toril.

Mikael's hands tightly grasped the letter as he angrily growls. Mikael is upset that Esther would give their daughter away. Mikael is glad to hear that Freya is safe and that Toril was the one that found her. Mikael puts the letter in his pant pocket, and he gently hits the horse's behind as the horse begins to run.

" Men! Let's go home!" Mikael shouts at the other warriors, who started to follow Mikael to the village.

Many hours later, it is nighttime, and Mikael and the other warriors safely reached their village. Mikael and the other warriors went their separate ways. Mikael immediately went straight to his house where Esther is making dinner for her and Finn since it is getting late. Ten minutes later, Mikael made it to his home. Mikael gets off of the house, and he walks towards the door.

Mikael opens the door, and he enters the house. Esther, who is in the kitchen, turns around to look at Mikael, who is looking at her with a neutral expression. Esther's heart skipped a beat since she didn't expect to see Mikael since she thought that Mikael was still in the war.

" M-Mikael," Esther nervously calls out Mikael's name.

Mikael's cold blue eyes stared into Esther's worried brown eyes.

" Where is Finn?" Mikael asked Esther.

" I-In his bedroom," Esther tells Mikael.

Mikael nods his head, and he walks up to Esther. Mikael then placed his hands on Esther's neck, which causes her to look at him.
