So i finished eating and i get a text from Richard. Joel asks "who is it?"

"Oh its just Richard" i see joel put a serious face on and looks down, he scratches his neck and says "so what do you think of the plan?..."

I am so uncomfortable right now, why did he have to bring it up? I was just feeling good and forgetting about it.

"Um i don't really care...i caused this so i guess its on me..."

Joel hugs me and says "melody its not your fault, i know it must be tough...i saw a girl i liked with someone else and i felt horrible"

I release from the hug and look into Joel's eyes and we were both really silent. I broke the silence and say "i love...him. Joel i love him and i thought...um i-i thoug...i dont know what i thought would happen but not this"

Joel got up from his chair and he actually looked quite annoyed. "Melody, i know, you wanted to date him but with this life he has and the scandal, you cant. That doesnt mean he doesn't love you"

I got up and i turn back so i wouldn't be facing joel. I say "he might fall in love with that other girl before the fake breakup...then ill be screwed and heart broken"

Joel came up to me and grabbed my hand and turned me around then says "melody as hard as it will be for me, ill try and make sure that wont happen." He then sighed.

I am confused, "joel? What do you mean hard for you?"

"Enough was said, that isnt what matters right now." I was still clueless but a little suspicious.

"Ok i guess...anyway, i dont even know what Richard wants let me check"
I released my hands that were interlocked

I take my phone out again and see richards text:

'hey melody, i love you. Im sorry for not being there for you and not wanting to talk. If you want, i can pick you up later to go watch a movie'

That was so sweet...im gushy inside and excited to see him. But at the same time i still have this bad and gross feeling...because i know that other girl is...gonna take my place 😥

I couldn't bare but smile when i read his message. "Are you good now?" Says joel.

"Um..actually i think so. Thank you joel, you were great help. But i have to get going home and bring wendy"

"Oh ok, are you walking?"

I respond saying "yes, but its nothing. We are close to my house and its exercise haha"

He smirked and said "im sorry but new york is a big city, i cant let you two go alone"

I smile and give in. I went back into the arcade to see if i could find wendy. Joel walking by my side, says "oh there they are"

We walk up to them and i say "hey wendy we need to go now, im sorry to interrupt but i have things to do."

Joel then says "y erick, voy acompañarlas a su casa, so you can go with chris and I'll call an uber"

While walking to my house we were all making jokes and laughing. I got a text from Richard replying to what i said. He asked for my address and i gave it to him.

After about 15 minutes, We finally got to my house and wendy went inside.

I stayed outside with joel to thank him and hug him. "Thank you so much joel, you really cheered me up..haha. See you soon"

I hug him and look into his eyes....what am i feeling? No no no MELODY!

Its nothing, yea..

I see joel lean in slowly and close his eyes. I cant do anything ill regret, i already screwed up kinda bad.

I kiss joel on the forehead and say "joel, your cute and all. But i cant mess things up more or do anything ill regret, but im flattered"

He kissed my cheek and says "im sorry if i went too far. I understand and i wish you luck"

I smile and kiss his cheek and go inside to change for my date with richard.

I wear this

I get a knock at the door and i hear my mom say "hay alguien en la puerta! Voy habrir"

I go running downstairs saying "nooo mami! Yo habro" it was too late and i see Richard there.

He smiles at my mom and she greets him....i think things are going well.

"Melody?" My mom says while giving me a glare. "Em si mamá, el es mi amigo. Richard this is my mother..."

He says "encantado de conocerte señora Gomez" so i hugged richard and said "im going to hangout mom ill be back later"

My mom says "ok. Y un gusto eh?"
Richard then says "Richard Camacho" and smiles.

"Ok pues porfavor cuidamela" he grabbed my waist and i slowly took his hand off as of we were in front of my mom.

Once we were in my car i could see how the tense-ness of Richard would go down.

"Haha why so tense?" I say.

"No es que, your mom was kinda intimidating haha but she seems nice"

"Oh haha yea...but i think your fine...also she knows we are just friends so.."

"Oh yea...sorry bout that, i couldn't help myself. And by the way, you look gorgeous"

I blushed in that moment and he says "melody before going to the theater...i have good news..do you want to hear it now or after the movie? "

My heart beated fast as i was smiling and wanting to know, i know he said it was good news, but this can effect my mood.

"Really?? I wanna hear it now please heh"
