We Love Like Vampires

Prologue: A Brief Explanation of This Mythical World

In this world, Anastasia[pronounced ana-stah-see-ya], every mythical creature of your imagination exists. Humans had been wiped off the face of the earth, leaving every species for themselves with no secrets.

Your Basic Breeds

Vampires- These vampires aren't your Twilight vampires with their glittery skin and super powers. For one, they don't glitter or live in the woods; those are one breed of faeries. Another thing, they do not have to be turned to be one, and it isn't some painful poison coarsing through your blood, stopping your heart.

Most vampires are pure-bred, born and raised in a lineage of pure-bred vamps. This particular breed of vampires are the most common, and most powerful. Pure-bred vampires get their fangs once they hit puberty, so that could range from the age of 9 to 16. Female vampires need more blood than males, because of the dreaded "time of the month". When vampires mate, the male and the female bite each other's neck at the peak, and both soon feel a burning sensation over their heart. This burning sensation leaves a mark; a black heart with rose thorns stuck in it, pointy side in, dripping with blood.

Made vampires are made through the mating process of pure-bred vampires. The venom that relaxes the vampire's prey is what turns the target, and they, too, have the burning sensation and have a tattoo. Made vamps can only be willingly made by their vampire mate, and yes, they can have more than one mate, whether it be from the same or a different species. These kind of vampires are stronger and more intellegent than pure-bred vampires, because of their born species' strength plus the strength of the vampire, whereas pure-breds only have vampiric strength.

There is no shifting into bats, although they can run at incredible speeds, and can semi-fly.

Werewolves- Werewolves are NOTHING like the Twilight ones. Okay, well, maybe slightly similar.

Pure-bred weres are the only kind of weres, because of The Wolf Within. You are born as a wolf, not as a human, and shift into a human for the first time the second you were born at the age of 3. The Wolf Within is the spirit of your Wolf. A Wolf Spirit cannot be planted into you, so there are no made werewolves, but you can mate with another species. When you mate, a pawprint is burned over your heart, similar to vampires, except the pawprint is the color of the fur of The Wolf Within. If you mate with another species, the outline of a paw is burned over the heart of the separate species. Werewolves mate as humans, and females go through 9 months of pregnancy as a human, but go into labor as a were.

You can shift into a wolf at anytime you please, and the clothes do stay on.

Weres are broken up into packs, based on the first were in the line of the family. It is broken into Alpha[male or female], Omega[male or female, eldest son or daughter], and The High Family[the rest of the sons and daughters, including the Alpha's husband or wife]. The other weres follow all commands coming from the Alpha and Omega, and if not, the penalty could be as bad as death. It isn't like they're servants, it's more of listening to their commands as a pack.

Faeries- There are different breeds of faeries, and they only have a few things in common. They aren't these small pixies with wings, although they do have wings that sprout from their back when they will them to. They do glitter, but only when they are connected with their element. When they mate, a tattoo of faerie wings is burned over the heart in the color matching their elemement; red for fire, green for earth, and blue for water. If you aren't a faerie, the tattoo is an outline of wings that isn't filled in.

Water faeries have a connection with water. They can will it to do anything they please, such as shape it and freeze it. They are incredible swimmers, so great that they aren't allowed to participate in any swimming competitions(i.e. The Summer Olympics).

Earth faeries can will the earth to do anything except destorying it and causing earthquakes. They can make full grown 100 meter trees sprout out of the earth in the blink of an eye, and have amazing skills in pottery with natural clay from the earth.

Fire faeries can make anything burst into flames with the flick of a finger, and they are great to have around during a harsh winter. They're the ones that discovered fire in the times of cavemen, and have had skills with fire ever since.
