Everly
Paranoid is all I feel. Every creek from my footsteps to every shadow made from the doors of curtains has me on edge. I haven't felt like this since I came home from the hospital a few months ago but now it's back. The paranoia has been following me since I've left early this morning to go shopping for tomorrow Thanksgiving dinner.
I didn't feel like I was being watched when Cohen was home before he left for practice but about an hour before I left to the store it was as if someone was watching every movement. I checked our cameras multiple times before leaving to make sure no one was creeping around and found nothing.
Ever since Cohen has been the new quarterback for the team and has been leading the team to have more wins this year compared to the last few years he's been in the spotlight. I know for sure Taylor has something to do with it but she's at least getting him the opportunities he's worked so hard for. I still don't trust her as far as I can throw her at all but for right now she's stayed clear with Cohen and has only communicated with Zach like they wanted.
With all the 'opportunities' she's been helping with the less private our life has become. I've seen Cohens beautiful face all over magazines when I go to the store and even a few with me on his arm. I always keep my face hidden with either my hoodie or a scarf and sunglasses not wanting the publicity. Having reporters push their cameras in your face and yelling questions from right to left is very overwhelming. We've seen paparazzi outside our gates multiple times for who knows what making me feel very uncomfortable. But this paranoid feeling is worse then the paparazzi it's as if someone is in the house with me.
I check the cameras one last time on my phone while I slip on my boots and coat. Not seeing anything strange I grab my keys and purse throwing my phone in and head out to my car.
After about two and half hours and many calls to my mom later I am home and unpacking all the groceries that clutter my counters. I still am not sure why I agreed to doing all of this but it is what it is. Plus I'll just call my mom if I can't figure it or need help.
I have put away everything that needs to be made for tomorrow and started working on seasoning the turkey and stuffing. To keep me from falling asleep on the kitchen floor I'm blasting today's hits from my phones playlist.
I stand at the sink washing the celery stalks and singing along to one of my favorite songs Imagine by Ariana Grande. The lyrics fall from my lips without effort and preparing the rest of the stuffing take over my mind.
Being lost in my cooking I didn't hear anyone come into the kitchen until I felt a warmth against my back. I instantly stiffen until two large warm hands wrap around my waist and the smell of the familiar cologne engulf me.
"I've missed you." Cohen sweetly kisses my temple making me lean more into his hard body.
"I missed you too. How was practice?"
"Good nothing to crazy since coach wanted to have an early day." He replies moving his hands from my waist and turning me around so I can see him.
"How was your day beautiful?" He asks.
I know for sure I'm far from looking beautiful right now. My hair is tied up in a half messy bun half birds nest on top of my head. No make up is any where on my face and I know I looked flushed from all the running around Ive been doing.
"It has been a busy day for sure. I'm ready for this food to be in the oven so I can relax." I tell him as I turn my attention back to finishing the stuffing and turkey.
