Don't do it.
He wouldn't. He swore. Tangled between a promise and reality. What was safe and what really wasn't? No wasn't, for sure.
"We've spoken about this before, but your father and I really don't accept this type of behavior in our household."
Brendon turned his head towards his fiancé's mother, mouth opened and ready to bark back at the woman. Although, his tongue was bitten when he felt a slight pain shoot up his leg. The connection could be made by his fiance, Ryans, foot resting against his shin.
Ryan smiled polity, "Yes, I am aware mother." He dared not even sigh towards her. "I just thought you would like to know that your only son is getting married. Rather you attended or not is up to you."
Brandon couldn't help but smile; it wasn't an obvious jab but it was still there. Ryan almost always coward from his parents so it was a nice change to see him stick up for something that meant a lot to him.
"Excuse me, " Brendons soon to be mother in law, excused herself. That left Ryan's father who was still staring at his untouched dinner.
"Dad?" Ryan tried.
"Your not actually going to do this to us are you?"
To Brendon's surprise, Ryan scoffed. "Do what? Be happy?"
"Son that's not what I men-
"No, I don't want to hear it." Ryan was losing his cool and Brendon could sense it.
Doing the only sensible thing he grabbed Ryans hand and squeezed it. "It's getting late and we both have to work in the morning. Give Danielle thanks for the food for me." Brendon got up signaling the other to follow.
Ryan stormed out the door leaving Brendon in his trail. When he finally made it back to their car, Ryan was already sitting in it with his head placed on the dashboard. "Drive."
"You okay?"
"Just drive!"
Brandon sighed and obliged. His hands tighten on the steering wheel till his knuckles turned white. "I'm sorry it didn't go the way you planned."
"It's not like it was shocking." Ryan's head was draped down before he lifted it up giving a false smile. "It's okay now, it doesn't matter." He paused before grabbing Brendons hand. "They don't matter. We're getting married! Can you believe it?"
Brendon chuckled, "I can't believe you said yes." He looked down at Ryans ring tangled between his fingers.
"Yes, you can don't say that." He hit his shoulder.
"I guess your right I am the best after all." Brendon sarcastic commented.Ryans smiled flipped to one Brendon actually recognized. "Some days."
"What's that suppose to mean?"
"Oh, nothing."
Brandon was happy to see him in a better mood. Ryan really did love his parents which was why it was so hard for him to see their reactions. When he pulled up to their apartment Ryan blurted out, 'I wanna house.' Which caused Brendon to laugh. "We will after the wedding I promise."
"I'll admit though, that little apartment room put up with us for almost six years."
A click of the car door went off to alert the two that it was now unlocked. "God there's so many stains, you cluts."
"Hey, you're the one who can't keep the room clean." Ryan reminded.
"Not true, " He paused. "Well actually.."
"Yeah! Exactly."
"So forever, huh?"
