I barely get in the classroom on time. After snoozing my alarm five times, I woke up way too late, resulting in me being unable to eat breakfast and looking like a mess.
The bell rings as I go sit on my seat. I grab my history books, not ready for such a boring lesson, knowing that I will probably fall asleep.
Tsukishima, who already had his history books in front of him, looks even more tired than yesterday. I kind of feel bad for my actions, saying such things without thinking about them first. I should apologize properly soon. Luckily, I have slept pretty well tonight, so I should be feeling more awake as time passes.
Still, I fall asleep, until the ringing of the bell signaling the end of the period wakes me. I open my eyes and find two golden-brown eyes staring into mine. That immediately makes me sit straight in my chair.
"You scared me. What is it?" I manage to keep my voice down, sounding relatively calm.
"You don't seem okay. Do you want to skip our lesson today?" Although it is meant to be a question out of concern, his monotone voice, the same as always, makes it seem like he is making fun of me.
"You're one to talk. You look like you haven't slept in days," I return.
He chuckles, which catches me off guard. "I do, huh. The warmth really bothers me," he answers, more honest than I would expect from him. It makes me frown a bit.
"You should leave your windows and curtains closed during the day, and air it out shortly after 11PM," I tell him.
Even though it's common knowledge, he looks at me like I just told him the secret to life. "Thanks."
During lunch, I feel like I am missing something. It is way too quiet for it to be a normal day. I look around. The usual sound of chatter echoes through the classroom. It doesn't seem like there's anything different. Well, actually... There's really little girls. And they are not screaming. Oikawa's not present. Is he sick? I haven't heard from him.
I seem to be making a very confused face, since the girl sitting next to me turns to me. "What's up, Yamaguchi?"
"I wonder why Oikawa isn't here," I tell her honestly. As one of his fangirls, she probably knows more.
"Ah, that's because his cousin is getting married today!" she enlightens me.
"Really? Thanks..." Why didn't he tell me? Normally, Oikawa tells me everything, driving me crazy most of the time.
Lunch break ends, not giving me the time to message Oikawa. I sigh, grabbing my German books. This is gonna be another very long day.
