Brothers proclamation

 Perfect princess Brooklyn Amélie Céline Allard grew up sheltered and protected. She was born and lived in the United States of Auradon. Never argued, never yelled, never disobeyed, never strayed from her path. It was the same every day, everything was perfect in Aurdon no need to change. Off to the side was the isle of the lost. All the villains and sidekicks were imprisoned there when her parents Belle and Adam, better known as Beauty and the Beast, became the king and queen. What her brother, Ben, and herself never thought was fair was that their kids were stuck there too, with no way out.

Prince Ben had paced his office all morning before calling for his sister to help him with his first proclamation. He was still pacing as he waited for her. He wasn't sure how she would handle it; she usually saw the good in everyone or at least wanted to as far as he could tell, but this was different. Much different. There was a light knock on his office door, three quick taps and to the tune of 'Be our Guest'. Ben opened the door and there stood his sister leaning on the door frame.

She was in black cargo pants a pair of white combat boots and a half white half black shirt tied in the front. Her glasses were pushed up her nose her blue hair was in a messy bun. she looked nothing like her title would suggest. "Hey Benjamin," Brooke jested with a blank face and a monotone voice, blowing a bubble. He hated being called Benjamin.

"Hello Brooklyn," he said with a mix of a smirk and a sneer.

"Don't call me Brooklyn," she groans lightly.

"Don't call me Benjamin," He stuck out his tongue like a mature soon to be king. "I need your help," he said anxiously.

She raised an eyebrow, "what is it little brother? What's got you all fidgety?"

He rolled his eyes, "Number one your only older by 20 minutes. Number two I know what I want to do for my first proclamation," she nodded and motioned for him to continue. "I want to bring kids from the isle to live in Auradon. I think they deserve a second chance. The kids are innocent," he said quickly as if trying to explain himself before she could cut him off and deny him in her usual blunt manor.

She stares off into space, thinking it over for a moment, a tense moment if Ben did say so himself, "Yea okay. Where are the files?" He seemed shocked that she agreed so fast and pointed towards his desk. She moved past him swiftly making no noise as she walked. Brooke grabbed half of the stack and moved them towards her side of the desk. "How many should we start with?"

"Um how about we both choose a girl and a boy," he said a little dazed that she was so quick. She grabbed her clipboard from the desk drawer, a blank piece of paper and a pen. On top she wrote Villain Kid (VK) Proclamation, In perfect script.

Ben side eyed his sister who looked to be in deep concentration. She didn't just look through the files. She read each through carefully taking in every detail and looking at each picture with great interest. Ben noticed that a lot of the kids on the isle looked a little like his sister in a stylistic sense. He wondered if they would get along, maybe she would make a friend she'd like to go out with. She had a lot of friends but none she would rather leave her books behind for. Brooke would rather venture off alone, into the woods usually. He figured it reminded her of her time with the lost boys, but he wasn't sure. 

She got to the last names that started with a D's and the very first one was a boy with black and white ombre hair, he had freckles all over his face. He was a few months younger than her putting him a grade behind her. He seemed very thin and since the picture, like all the others, looked like a mug shot, she could see his height behind him. He was a little short for his age standing at only 5' 5" instead of the average 5' 7" for a 15-year-old boy. At the time of the picture, he had a cut across his cheek bone and a sneer graced his features.
