Holy Batman, man.

I'm on chapter eleven. Do you know what that means? No? I don't either, so good luck in life to all you lost souls.

Oh, duh. You're here for the story.

Chapter 11: The Band-Aid

"I'm going to fucking kill you." Apollo seethes at Joey.

"Bring it on, muddy ass."

I sip on my hot chocolate as they begin to deliver death threats back and forth.

It was lunch at the cafe, a week after I got jumped in the woods. I'm finally back and it feels like forever.

True to his word, Thanatos has not let me go back to work. He has been ignoring me completely even though he's stayed by my side as I recovered. He won't even look me in the eyes. I suck at eye contact but he usually always tries to look me in the eyes.

I think I freaked him out by confessing my feeling to him- like now he doesn't know how to treat me.

I'm used to him ignoring me but when he ignored me he'd actually look at me now, he's just ignoring my existence.

It's not fun.

Every time I look at him I can just tell he's thinking about something, like he's arguing with himself about something and can't decide.

It's nerve-wracking, to say the least.

Steve, well, Steve got to spend a couple of nights in jail but I had no proof that he was the one who attacked me, and someone bailed him out.

I wasn't too mad that he didn't get into a lot of trouble. I was just hoping he didn't try anything again.

Joey starts to hit Apollo's chest, Damon and Maven chuckle at them from beside me in the booth. Osiris just sighs and Thanatos gives them no reaction what so ever.

I flinch when Apollo drops Joey to the floor. Both of them grab a cushion from one of the booths and start to beat one another. I tap Damon's arm.

"Can you let me out?" I ask, and he smirks.

"Sure." Damon grabs me by my waist making me squeak and literally stands up while holding me before he drops me to the floor where I land with a thud.

"Ow, Demon!" I pout at the pain. I gasp as I go to stand up but my ribs scream in pain. I grab above my ribs and lean back onto the floor. "Fuck. Can't stand."

Damon pouts down at me as I glare at him. He offers me a hand but I ignore it and pull myself up slowly by one of the cafe's chairs.

Thank God it was lunch break and there were no customers to see me fall like an embarrassing old lady.

"Don't touch me." I slap Damon's hand away. "You caused this, wallow in the guilt."

"Bug." He whines as I push him away from me.

"Nope, move, Demon."

"Nope." He smirks and it grows as both my other best friends let out shrieks of frustration. They're going to kill one another and this doofus is in my way.

Idiots. They're all idiots.

"Five seconds," I warn.

"You can't just-"

"Five."

"We can talk about-"

"Four."

"Don't you think you're being a bit dramatic?"
