Y'all... I'm kinda excited for this book to end but also sad.

It's been a long process and I got stuck right in the middle of the last chapter for like a month, it wasn't fun and I got inspired so now I wrote this chapter we'll after my bedtime when I have school in the morning. So yeah, enjoy my coconuts.

Oh, duh. You're here for the story.

Chapter 32: The Date

For our date, since I was the one setting it up, I got help from Joey, Apollo, Maven, and Osiris.

I'm going to take Thanatos to a raspberry farm that Maple owns and we're going to pick some berries, then we're going for a walk through the woods that everyone helped me put fairy lights through, since by the time we get there it's going to be dark, and then I set up a picnic with all of Thanatos favorite food and chess, which is his favorite board game, surrounded by some candles.

Thanatos doesn't know anything besides what time we need to leave and that he should wear comfortable clothes.

I got Josephine to help me pick out my outfit: my favorite long sleeve lace shirt that hugs my curves and shows off my small waist and comfortable jeggings that show off my legs and butt nicely while staying modest to the temperature.

I didn't wear any makeup besides some lip gloss and mascara. I wore some cute heeled boots that Polo squealed at when he saw them.

Now, everyone besides Thanatos, who's at his house getting ready, gathers in the living room laughing as Maven refuses to kill anyone in his videogame. Which, of course, makes him loose.

"Maven," Polo whines. "Just take them out, they aren't even real people."

"They could still have feelings!" Maven defends, a small ditsy smile on his lips. "And they don't seem too bad."

"They're literally shooting you." Apollo deadpans. "Right in the face."

"Hey!" Joey kicks Polo in the knee from her spot on Osiris' lap. "Don't be mean to the marshmallow, you dickbag."

"Me, mean?" Apollo scoffs. "Oh, my lovely hag, I am not mean. You, on the other hand, honey, are rotten to the core."

"Mhm sure, you bitchass." Josephine glare at him. "You are the rotten one with your poopy head attitude."

"You just called me a poopy head!" Exclaims Polo, looking equaled amused and offended. "How dare you, you overgrown walnut!"

Joey gasps, "Overgrown walnut? Why, I never called you something so offensive before, you soggy lampshade."

"Really? That the best you can do-" The doorbell, thankfully, cut off what I'm sure would have been Polo's clever rebuttal.

I grab my purse bouncing into a standing position in excitement.

"Oh my God, he's here." I panic. "Like, we're going on a date. Do I look okay? Oh, baby cheese puffs, what if he doesn't like my plans? Should I cancel-"

"Aphrodite, with all due respect," Osiris starts. "Both you and Thanatos understand one another in a way I cannot comprehend. One look into his eyes and you can tell what he's feeling just like he can see the way you're sitting and know that you had a bad day even if you're smiling like nothing was weighing you down. It's baffling but amazing to see. Even if you looked bad, which as a friend I can say you don't, and even if you made bad plans, which you didn't, I can guarantee that Thanatos would still have a good time because he's with you."

My worry melts away by Osiris' words and in response, I give him a grateful smile. "Thanks, Osiris, I needed to hear that."

"You're welcome, now please don't keep my best friend wanting any longer."
