You guys... Do you see that title?

Do you understand what that title means? Do you? It means that this girl, and quite honestly annoying person, finished her first-ever book! I am so proud of myself and proud of you for sticking around but more than anything I am so tired. Love ya.

Oh, duh. You're here for the story.

Chapter 39: The End

"You can stop glaring at me now, you old hag." Apollo bops Joey on her head, which is not the smartest move, causing her to retaliate by kneeing his thigh- which I'm fairly certain she wasn't aiming for.

"Excuse me, bitchass." Joey sneers, narrowing her eyes further at Polo who crumbled to the floor wincing at his hurt thigh. "But you put a spider on me. A spider. On me!"

"I know." Apollo chokes out a laugh, grinning up at her. "It was fun to see you struggle to get it off."

Josephine gives him a wicked smile making his smug look falter and within seconds she throws herself at him starting the second fight of the day, which believe it or not is less than usual by eight at night.

"You fuck nugget!" Joey tries to jab him but Apollo slaps her hand out of the way and tangles his fingers painfully into her hair making her shriek. "Let go!"

"No, you vile hag, you'll attack me like some mutated chihuahua!" Polo, despite his words, releases her but makes the fatal move of grabbing the dragon's fiance and hiding behind him.

Osiris looks completely bored and exasperated as he's used as a human shield, his body jerked whatever way as Polo tries not to be assaulted.

Eventually, Osiris just plants his feet on the ground, presumably sick of being used as a form of protection against the raging dragon that's his fiance.

"Usually, I condone insults and violence that doesn't result in hospital visits," Osiris says, his tone of complete and utter agitation. "But if you don't stop using me as a human shield I'm going to shave your head bald. And Josey, please, sit down and behave."

"I always wanted to try the shinning pasty head look."

"Why behave when I can have fun?"

Is Apollo's and Joey's simultaneous look.

Seeing the usually thick barrier of self-control and pretentiousness thin dangerously, I take the lead.

"Josephine, Apollo," They snap their heads over to me like two children scared of a mother's scolding. "Sit down, behave, or I'll take away the thing you love most: chocolate chip cookies."

Once the threat is past my lips they're hurtling themselves into the nearest seats and calmly starting a conversation about Beta fish and briefcases.

I lean back into my seat, my hand rubbing my stomach as I sip on my mint tea. Osiris plops down next to me, his tired eyes watching Joey.

"How do you put up with them?" He asks, tiredly slumping over in his seat. "Apollo spent the night yesterday and I swear, I've never had a more chaotic, eventful night and I was at my family's reunion when they found out who was going to be president."

"I'm sorry about them," I say, looking over at the two idiots. "But they've always been like this. Maybe you didn't notice because in high school they had to find more subtle ways of messing with one another but now they are free to act out when I'm not around of course."

"Why do they listen to you so well?"

"I control their paychecks and if they have cookies to eat or not." I shrug. "You do the math."
