"gotta do the cookin' by the book."
It was years after the battle against Honvera, but that didn't automatically mean that the trauma goes away like nothing, the people they've lost, the people that sacrifice themselves, it was a lot to put on their shoulders, and Hunk who was always the one to keep things positive, but it didn't seem like for a while, lately Hunk has been more forcing a smile then causing a smile, even cooking hasn't been something he's done for a while. Everything happy just didn't seem to make him happy anymore, but Chayse was still around, the women he loved and adore, but Hunk has slowly started to believe that Chayse was going to leave him eventually, that she was going to give up trying on them, on him, it was a scary thought that he kept having over and over again but not once mentioned it to Chayse but instead forced a smile and nodded. It was a hot summer day, people were either out at the beach, others stayed home with the A/C. Chayse and Hunk were currently the couples staying in and watching movies, Hunk was attempting to make something fun for them to eat while the movie marathon was happening, but he wasn't sure what to make. It had been thirty minutes, he's been flipping through all his recipes and nothing stands out, Chayse had taken notice that Hunk wasn't cooking anything and it had been rather quiet in the kitchen, she had put pause on the movie and walked over to the kitchen to see Hunk still looking through the book.
"Hunk? Is everything okay in here?" asked Chayse, soon she started to hear quiet sobs from Hunk, and his tears hit the pages on the book, and this was actually the first time in a while that Chayse has seen Hunk cried, she walked over to him and rubbed circles around his back.
Perhaps it was because he was keeping it all in, but Hunk hasn't let out a cry like this in a long time, Chayse told Hunk for them to sit down, she led him to the couch where he cried into Chayse's shoulder, and until Hunk felt at ease and let out everything, especially since it was most likely that he had kept everything to himself and not sharing any with Chayse or the other paladins, it broke her heart that Hunk has been keeping this to himself for a long time. It got Chayse, thinking of what to do and how to help him, and she might have an idea.
