What Is Love?

CHAPTER 14

Nadine POV
"How do you feel?" Alex enter my room looking concerned.

"I'm suppose to say that I'm happy, isn't it? But, I don't really feel that way," I tell him.

Alex sign, "and I guess you've no choice.....It's okay, Nathan is a nice guy. Love can be build. Come, everyone is waiting for you downstairs."

I nod, Alex didn't know that Nathan is gay, if only he know, he will think I'm crazy for accepting this marriage.

We didn't made a big ceremony, just the simple one, with families and friends. I don't really care of it. I hope that this marriage will made everything better.

We've arrived, the seat nearly full. All familiar faces, of course, as we're related. My eyes looking around for Sam, but there's only his mom and Spenc. Didn't he said that he will come?

Minutes later, Nathan families come. It's mean we gonna start soon. I'm gonna married and my partner is not Sam. I should follow his idea last night, run away with him. It will be much better, but of course, dad will be angry or worse.

Nathan excuse himself for toilet, he seem nervous. I still hoping for Sam's incoming. Atleast I can see his face, his smile.

It's been 30 min since Nathan leave us, and the Father keep on asking "when to start" as he frequently looking at his watch. This is weird, did he run? He didn't tell me anything. I can see Nathan's dad start to look angry, he and my dad argue on something.

15 min later, Nathan enter, panting, seem like just finish a marathon. He stand at the door, try catching up his breathe.

"I... I.. don't want this...marriage,,me and Nadine...never agreed.. with this, we're never want to.. get married," he said in between his unstable breathe.

"SHUT UP, NATHAN!!!! " his dad shouts.

"It's not Nadine's fault," he said again.

"NATHAN! I WARN YOU TO STOP!!" his dad still shouting but get ignore by Nathan.

"I'M GAY! I LIKE BOY! I'M SORRY," then, he run, exit the hall, everyone look at each other with a shock and disbelief look, while dad and uncle have their words fight.

Should I run too? This will be the good timing. I wanna see Sam. I grab Alex's arm and run, escaping from this already cancel wedding ceremony.

Sam POV
I didn't know that it will be this hurt, knowing the love of my life married with someone else. I don't want to be emotional when she leave last night, but I do feel hurt.

Now, she's not just hurting me emotionally, but because of the love that we feels, I get hurt physically, by the people that was order by Nadine's dad. I didn't expect that her dad would do it.

I love her, but it's seem everything gone wrong. I need to set on my mind that she's not mine anymore.

As mom and Spenc leave the house for Nadine's wedding, I call Camila. I ask her to pick me up. She question so many things as she see me injured and bring bagpack, but I refuse to answer. I continue my sleep all along the drive till we arrive at her house.

"Seriously dude. You have disturbed my beauty sleep and now ignoring me," she kinda shout at me.

I sign, "hurmm, first of all, thank you so much for answering my call and drive me here, but can we just continue our sleep, you can go back upstairs and I'll sleep on this comfy couch, I'll tell you when we wake up,,OKAY??"

She glare at me but still going upstairs. I just wanna sleep, so that I can stop thinking about Nadine, especially since today is her wedding. I turn off my phone, escaping the world, at least, for awhile.
