Chapter 56: Why Me?

Scott and his friends arrived in Romania at the Bran castle in a few hours. When arrived at the castle, Mike landed nearby the castle, and from where he landed to the castle walked. They arrived at the castle entrance, where Mary was waiting for them. Not passed long until Calax took control over Scott to salute Mary and remember how her sister died. Calax disappeared, and Marry checked Scott to see what the possession severity was. After finishing, Mary looked at them and said the verdict.

"I hate when you have right, Mike," said Mary and looked at Scott's arm. "We have three more days to take Calax out, and if we don't do that in less than three days, Scott disappears forever."

"So, other methods you suggest failed?" asked Liam with a sad voice. "Scott said to lead the pack if something goes bad. Before being an alpha, is our friend, husband, and father for Malia and the kids."

"You are already an alpha, and as far I can see, you are a true alpha. Chill off, those are last resorts which doesn't want to rely too much on them," informed Mary and calmed Liam. "The safest way is the updated version of the Rakata Mind trap."

"Updated?" asked Mike and resumed. "It seems you update the box as you promise and I why are not mad because I leave without a warning. We met before, but you didn't tell me anything about my decision."

"Sometimes people need to hit the upper threshold to get it," explained Dean and embraced Jack. "This happens with Jack and regrets behaving like that."

"I am aware of that," murmured Jack and asked, full of curiosity. "How many times you will apologize for that?"

"How many times will consider it okay and is on the same page with himself," shared Castiel and smiled. "It acts sometimes wrong, but has one of the purest hearts ever which I see in my life, full of compassion."

"As they said, I am not mad because I understand you are a Jedi, and your duty is to help the one who needs it," explained Mary. "In France, against Nihilus, I notice this stuff, plus mission from Mustafar. Also, the stronger box is."

"Dean, do you know Bran castle is special for you?" asked Sam and showed a photo. "This castle was a house of vampires, and after a hunt for our parents, they made you here."

"Dean's has Romanian roots. Anyway, do you know why possessed me?" asked Scott, a bit scared. "I can feel how is lurking in my mind and I see myself dying many times in different backgrounds."

"Isn't it enough to die once?" asked Aoda and saw Mary's reaction. "In case you wonder, my mom and dad are Talon and Maul."

"Do you see a guy slashing his throat with a small knife in a weird monastery in the movie?" asked Mary to see the reaction of everybody. "I don't know how to say that, but you are the last copy of you. I mean, on Earth exist six more people looking at you and all are dead."

"Why Calax will do such a thing?" asked Stiles, stupefied, and saw identities. "Lucas Moreno and the other five looking like him?"

"Revenge," answered Calax and explained. "I push those girls beyond their limits, but I never expect to send the game online. I admit, I enjoy it at first, but becomes a nightmare because the targets live very far away from one another."

"How do you get revenge for killing the guy who looks like Lucas?" asked Malia, stupefied, and seeing how Scott became Scott again. "It seems my questions remain unanswered."

"It kills in gruesome manners before the Lodge can interfere," answered Mary. "After we find out what happened, we talk with people around the world. We put the infected people in quarantine in the line of their turn; after this, split them up into groups."

"How effective the measure was?" asked Nikko curious. "I want to know how many people die."

"We lose 100 lives and the other 500 people have injurious from lowest to severe. The number is tiny because the game spread over the world, affecting a quarter of our planet," said Mary. "Only 10% die and injure happen after we reach them."
