A war on two fronts

Chapter 10: Phantom Menance

Ahsoka and Mike left the house and had a little discussion on the way to the gate. There they split up because Mike went into the town to find the disturbance and Ahsoka left to her house to build a lightsaber for Theo which included a special crystal that would amplify his Elder Blood powers. Meanwhile, Liam and Theo received a telephone from Melissa to come because the last night in the hospital's front somebody let two people unconscious with an eagle. They asked about their state and said they were still unconscious, but would wake up soon. When arrived at the hospital in the salon, they saw the eagle sitting on Berty because his bed was close to the door.

"Werewolves," said Smoulder and prepared to attack Liam and Theo, rising the wings in the air.

"Is him," yelled Liam and recognized the person which appeared on Mike's mobile as a hologram. "Are two of them?"

"Yes, Liam, when two people are looking the same, they are twins," informed Theo and held his arms in the air. "We are not here to harm you. You are looking after Mike?"

"Is there?" asked Berty and saw Alin waking up and he had some strong headaches because of the hit.

"Yes, but left with Ahsoka an hour ago," answered Theo and approached Alin and stretched his hand to him. "Give me your hand."

"What are you doing?" asked Alin and looked at how their veins turned black and absorbed something. "My pain, disappeared."

"For how long Mike is staying with you? Are you okay, Alin?" asked Smoulder and saw how Alin hugged him and Berty with power.

"For two weeks, if I am right," answered Liam and felt the relief of all three. "Why are you here? Who attacked you?"

"We come here taking Mike home, or at least to see if he is fine," answered Alin and left the bed to see where was. "The last time when I was conscious, was in the library of the high school. The Grand Inquisitor attacked us."

"He doesn't answer to his phone," said Smoulder and saw how Theo called Mike. I am Doctor Smoulder, but you can call me, Smoulder."

"He is dead," said Liam referring to the Grand Inquisitor and looked weird asking himself. "Oh, I am Liam. You come with us to our home?"

"Sure, why not," agreed Berty with this and got off the bed too. "I am Berty and was the one who I named his Smoulder because of the way he looked at us to get our attention or when asked for food."

"I am Alin," presented Alin to the others and caught his lightsaber after Theo threw it. "Do you have any idea why Mike's phone appeared in multiple regions?"

"My name is Theo," presented Theo and looked at the map to see the cause. "I think the Nemeton is to blame for this because the telluric currents interfere with the signal."

All five went to the car and on the way home, they tried to contact Mike, but all the methods failed. Seeing this, Liam lost patience and went straight to the bedroom when reached home. There, he smelt Mike's clothes to track him down, but Theo said to wait because it would come.

"Passed three hours and we know nothing about him. Is like he knew, you would come and hid," murmured Liam and looked at the cameras to see what happened during the attack. "It seems Midas and the woman saved your ass from the Grand Inquisitor."
