Sting was sleeping peacefully in his bed with a smile on his face as he dreamed of something happy, Rogue on the other side of the room was quietly sobbing to himself cause he couldn't sleep cause of bad dreams and jerking awake cause he felt like he was falling and hit the ground pretty hard, he hated when that happens it scared the poor child badly. He sniffled and shook violently, holding the blanket around him, the room was pitch black cause it was nighttime and Rogue couldn't see to get up and go to the kitchen and get something to drink to keep him up. Rogue didn't know when he was going to get used to this cause each dream would be different and end up in a nightmare, some dealt with Sting hating him or leaving him behind and even death and that was the one Rogue hated the most, he pulled his knees up to his chest and quietly sobbed hoping to not wake up the boy on the other side of the room. Sting yawned and woke up as soon as the day light hit his face, he sat up and stretched looking around the room and noticed Rogue sitting up with his knees to his chest, Sting smiled and made his way over.
"Hi Rogue!"
"Hey *yawn* Sting"
"You're sleepy?"
"No no I'm okay"
"Ready to head to the guild"
"Yeah sure"
Rogue got out of bed and nearly fell cause his legs were now numb, Sting held him and frowned.
"Rogue did you not sleep?"
"..."
"Rogue?"
"No.."
"I knew it, why not?"
"The shadowman is always coming at night and scaring me and not leaving me alone"
Rogue held onto Sting and sniffled, Sting smiled and rubbed the others back as the child sniffled and cried a bit.
"Don't worry Rogue, I'm right here with you I'll make sure that ShadowMan doesn't come back tonight and if he does I'll be here"
Sting said and pulled away from the hug and placed his hand on Rogues cheek, Rogue smiled and held the hand on his cheek.
"Thank you Sting"
"Anytime Rogue, Now let go to the guild!"
Sting tried to keep Rogue from getting in trouble cause he would fall and look very weak and Jiemma hated that very much, he grabbed a easy job and grabbed Rogues hand and rushed out of the guild after telling Minerva what job they were taking.

Sting was nod carrying a pretty knocked out Rogue in his small arms as he walked through town back home, many people offered to take Rogue but Sting would glare at them and continue to walk to their shared small home, Sting got inside and shut the door the best he could without dropping the boy.
"Rogue I can tell you didn't sleep much at all"
Sting whimpered and set Rogue in his bed and tucked him in and walked out of the home, with the bag of jewels he got from his job to find him and Rogue something to eat, thinking what his friend would like to eat.
"Maybe something hot, I'll get him some soup!"
Sting smiled and ran to the closest shop and bought some chicken soup and some juice, thanking the man and ran to his little home but quickly stopped and noticed ranging shadows surrounding the house, he frowned and rushed inside.
