at first he kind of squirms away from it subtly - he doesn't want to offend you but at the same time he isn't too used to physical contact, especially from strangers. he's never really had a long standing friend either, so the fact he's experiencing it from a 'friend' too is really bizarre.

after a while he grows used to the shoulder and arm touches, but he still tenses up whenever you sit near him.

he wants to ask you why you do stuff like that, but he knows that that's normal - he's seen other people do it before, and he's acknowledged the fact that you're more affectionate than other people.

he tries his best to get used to it - he considers you a really close friend and he wants to be able to act casually whenever you're affectionate towards him.

it takes him a while, but eventually he gets comfortable enough with you and when you come up behind him and rest your arms over his shoulders - he doesn't flinch, and he can't help but smile to himself when it happens.

he calls you his "first".

you're the first person he ever voluntarily touches - it happens one day randomly - you're sitting in between two seats beside iida at lunch, and shouto puts his hand on your shoulder.

when you look up he's smiling at you, and you shuffle over to your seat, shouto sliding into the now vacated seat. you're kind of in shock, but you eventually return the large smile he's giving you.

everyone notices how he sits that little bit closer to you than he does to iida.

whenever there's a team exercise he immediately gravitates towards you, and whenever the two of you are put into a group together for a group exercise he always sits beside you.

you're definitely the first person he walks over to whenever there's a class outing as well.

you're definitely the reason why shouto is slowly coming out of his own shell, and you have a permanent place in his heart because of that.
