Klaus parked Alaric's car somewhere in the Mystic Falls Woods, and he carried the bag of vampire killing toys along with a rather heavy hay-bale body, as he subtly followed the blonde beauty towards her and the vampire hunters 'training spot'.
"I'm just going to take a few photos before we start, is that okay?"
"Go right ahead." Klaus replied, unable to help himself from shooting her a charming smile.
As the blonde wandered around acting as photographer, Klaus eyed the history teachers bag of tricks with distaste. Most of the items that were there, he had never come across in his life. Alaric must make his own toys, how interesting.
He grabbed hold of one which looked like an armbrace, and he realised that he had no idea on how to work it. Klaus could see the blonde watching him curiously out of the corner of his eye. He needed to come up with something to say, before she started to get suspicious.
"How long have we been doing this?" Klaus asked, rising to Alaric's full height.
"Err..." She frowned, and once again, Klaus found himself admiring the way her brows pinched together. "Three months?"
Klaus dumped the weapon back into the bag and clapped his hands together, like a teacher would. "Tell you what," He began, "Why don't you show me what you know."
"Are you sure?" She asked. "You told me that I wasn't allowed to touch anything in the bag, unless you said it was okay?"
Klaus blinked. So the alcoholic teacher was considerate with his students safety. He had to give him credit for that, although in his professional opinion on murder and all things villainous; students would only learn through their inevitable mistakes.
"Then do so with the weapons that I've already shown you how to use." He suggested, "Pick your favourite, and show me what to do."
"That's easy." She replied with a small grin, coming nearer to him to crouch down and rifle through the bag.
She picked up the armbrace that Klaus had previously been perusing and strapped it expertly to her forearm, before she punched the dummy that the Original had dragged from the car (he was annoyed at how weak he was in this body). The stake released and pierced straight through the haystack 'vampire'.
Klaus' eyebrows shot into his hairline. From now on, he would have to be careful around anyone who was wearing long sleeves; especially if the scooby-gang managed to get ahold of some white oak.
"That's the first time that's actually released for me." She said with a small laugh, "I've been working on my upper strength, just like you said."
"Well, it's paid off." He complimented her, his eyes shamelessly admiring her slender arms.
She showed Klaus how to use various other vampire traps, and weapons that Alaric had created, and the Original internally praised the hunter for his craftsmanship. He was also thankful towards the blonde for showing him what tricks Alaric was keeping up his sleeves. Pun intended.
He watched as the blonde checked the time on her phone, and she frowned up at him. "You're normally so good at keeping time, Ric. We've been out here a lot longer than usual." She set to work at packing up the weaponry, as Klaus hitched the dummy over his shoulder with a grunt.
Honestly, he would've stayed out all night with this enchantress.
"If you're not chaperoning tonight, what are you doing?"
"Painting." She replied with a smile, "I've done a landscape piece for Caroline's room."
Caroline? As in Caroline Forbes? What was the relationship between the two girls? He had seen them smiling towards one another that morning, during the history class. "Am I forgetting a birthday?"
"No." The blonde shook her head, "I just like to treat my little sister, sometimes. It makes her less mean."
Klaus couldn't help but laugh at how simply she said that. He would have to take Rebekah shopping when he eventually woke her up; perhaps that would put her in a more forgiving mood.
In any case, at least he knew half of this stunning young woman's name. Forbes. He supposed he would have to ask Katerina about the other half.
He dropped her off outside the Forbes residence so that she could get to work on her painting, and he refrained from being all romantic and walking her to her door. Instead, he watched her as she made her way up the porch steps. Oh, how he couldn't wait to be put back in his own body. Klaus eventually tore his eyes away, and focused. He had things to do; the Bennett witch wasn't going to investigate herself.
Klaus drove to the Salvatore Boarding House, and apologised on behalf of Alaric for his tardiness. He listened in on their 'plan', and found humour in the little witch as she bragged on how she thought herself able to kill him. It was rather sad, really.
"That's not going to be easy." He warned her, "He is the biggest, baddest vampire around."
"Alaric has a point." Damon agreed, "I mean, what if he-"
Klaus watched as Damon sped forwards to attack the Bennett girl, and she merely blinked as she threw the older, annoying, Salvatore against the wall at the far end of the room. Klaus was impressed by her power, so it was a shame that she was going to have to die.
"Well, I was impressed." Stefan said, practically reading Klaus' thoughts.
"It doesn't matter if he's an Original." Bonnie sassed, "I can take down anyone who comes at me. I can kill him, Elena. I know I can."
As soon as the scooby-gang meeting was over, Klaus made his way back to Alaric's apartment. "Well, it's settled." He said as he entered the room, grabbing both Katerina and Maddox's attention. "I need you to kill the witch bitch."
He was pleased to see that the Petrova vampire had been stabbing herself repeatedly in the leg, as he had left her. "You can put the knife down now, love. Maddox, get me a drink - the alcoholic must have something vintage around here."
He set Katherine a task at finding him something half decent to wear for the high school dance, and he questioned her about Caroline Forbes' sister.
"The painter?" Katherine asked, as Maddox handed him a glass of bourbon. "Other than the fact she's Alaric's little vampire hunting protégée, I don't honestly know that much about her. Oh, she dated Mason Lockwood."
"Lockwood? A werewolf, I take it?" Klaus questioned then. "What's her name?"
"Hilary? Stefanie? No, Bethany."
"Well, which one is it, love?" He turned to face Maddox then, who was standing around. "What are you waiting for, mate? Get to work on the Bennett witch."
"That's the thing." He said, "If she has as much power as she says she does, she will be able to sense me coming from a mile away. I won't be able to get anywhere near her. You'll have to do it."
"In this awful body? I'm a haggard history teacher, mate." Klaus sighed in annoyance. Did he really have to do everything around here. "What did I hire you for; if it weren't to do as you're told?"
"Channelling that much power will kill her - it would me. You just have to force her to use it."
"Provoke her to death?" Klaus raised a brow, that did sound rather fun. "I like that idea."
