You can tame a beast. It is good for a moment, but in the end it is still a monster.

The scent of a mild lavender and peach coated the room and the walls lined with a soundproofing coat. I couldn't help but release the tension in my body as I found a sliver of peace that coated the herbal stench from the rest of the house. The soundproofing didn't work as much, but it managed to dim down its range from a mile radius to within house grounds.

A large queen sized bed stood over the heated mahogany floor and surrounded with a white carpet. Two walk-in closets lined the west side of the room. One for clothes and the other for shoes and accessories. Both of which where connected to a large bathroom in the middle.

At the north end was a large balcony that overlooked the side of the mansion. Directly facing the edge of the forest line. I was able to glimpse a view of a large greenhouse at the back.

My clothes and all personal belongings were already settled. Along with a brand new laptop and phone set on the bedside table. I picked up the letter at its side and read.

A small welcoming gift, I hope you like it.

I couldn't help but smile. Despite the lack of physical tiredness in my body, I could still feel the exhaustion. The fatigue that rattled my body for the past three days. I ran the water into the bathtub and dropped a strawberry bath bomb inside. I stripped my clothes off, eyes lingering over the nonexistent scar on my arm where I fell down the stairs as a kid.

I glanced over the pile and reminded myself that I needed a new set of clothes. Since my change, my once A-cup sized bras no longer fit, nor did any of my pants from the sudden bust and nearly four inches growth in height. Majority of my tops no longer fit from the amount of curves I gained overnight.

I sighed as I lay back into the tub. My head aching from the list of worries flying in my head. Shopping was the least of my worries right now. What I needed to do was find a way to manage my strength, condition my senses, keep myself under control.

But most of all, I need to know what bit me.

So I laid in the tub, slowly falling deeper into the water with my eyes closed and mind concocting the first step of finding the truth of what happened that night. Until it drifts, falling into a dark abyss where the nightmare began.

"What do you want Booster? It's three in the morning." I called out as I walked down towards the back door where I find my dog scratching and whining to get out. His ears were perked, tail stiff and standing as he continued to whine. His thick white fur were standing in alert, making me frown at his desperation to get out.

I slide the back door opening and he bursts right out. He raced to the edge of the fence and barked into the darkness that faced the entrance of the forest. I wrapped my arms around myself from the cold chill of the night. Tonight must have been the coldest summer night of the season. So cold that I could see every puff of air that escaped my lips and my skin crawling with goosebumps.

"There's nothing there Booster. Do your business and come inside." But he continued to bark much more aggressively at the dark. I sighed and walked out of the house. I kneeled down to my husky's height and petted his back, trying to calm him but to no avail.
