A mistake-I proved right

Part 72

The group has spent around more than hours searching for sanyukta and every time they were get nothing but disappointment and the time given by Rajeev was nearing and rd was getting anxious

Rd-karan, this is not good....what are we gonna do?

Rd says to karan, both of them leaning against their car, looking at the empty rides in the amusement park, by the other end of the road

Karan-rd, can you please stop panicking and think, we've searched everywhere around the park

As soon as karan completes his sentence both of them look at each other as if realizing something

Rd-but we haven't checked inside

Both of them run towards the entrance

Karan-rd, you wait here I'll buy the tickets and please stay put till I come back

Rd-ok, just go

While karan went to buy the tickets, rd peeks inside and the park didn't really looked amusing, it was practically empty and he couldn't really understand why was it even open during these odd hours.

Some rides looked old and rusty and rd was sure that it would make those strange sounds while operating....overall the park looked spooky to rd

Karan comes back

Rd-are you sure, this place is still in business

Karan-ikr....its strange...lets go

They walk inside and other than a few workers and two or three visitors, who didn't look much like viitors at all, there was no one there

Rd-lets spilt up and search

Karan-nope...not happening

Rd-karan...this place is huge and the time is ticking....splitting up will help more than you sticking with me....please

Karan-fine, but promise me that as soon as you find something, you will let me know first..before doing anything

Rd-ok fine...lets go

With that they split and start searching

Most of the rides were turned off since no one was there to ride them

Everything was so spooky and the mild wind blowing making the leaves rustle and some rides to make that clanking sound was adding to the spookiness

Rd-please be fine sanyukta please be fine....i am coming

Rd mutters while looking around and that's when another wind blows bringing along with it a beautiful sound of some song playing and settling it into rd's ears and he turns around to face the direction from which the faint sound was coming

Rd closes his eyes to concentrate on that sound and starts walking with his eyes closed.

He walks for 2 mins and reaches a carousel which was working with its horses going round and round and up and down in sync with the music.

Rd frowns at the lack of rider

And tries searching for some operator but surprisingly the carousel was built far away from the rest of the rides and hence leaving the area around it dark and isolated

Then rd finds a small room like building just a yard away from the musical ride which could be its control house but the insides, from what rd could see were dark.

It was all so confusing and suspicious. The carousel was working but its control room was empty and dark, rd tries to open it but the knob just rattles against its hold.
