Rainbow Dash pov

The ponies finished speaking, and we began to float with the mysterious ponies. The girls began to scream in pain as each of their chests opened up, as well as the chests of the colts we had just met. They didn't mind.

Inside the chests of the girls, appeared gems that seemed to have grown into their skin. We fell to the ground in pain while the colts continued to float, their chests still opened. A swirling rainbow appeared in their chests and a new set of elements formed on their skin. No removal necessary.

"That hurt. A lot." I was sprawled out on the floor, a gem on mm chest in the shape of a flame.

"Hey y'all, look at mah gem!" It was a leaf shape.

"Mine is in the shape of a glorious raindrop! It matches my eyes!" Rarity, of course.

"Ooh! Ooh! Mine looks like a swirl!" Pinkie pie hopped.

"Mine looks like a paw print..." Fluttershy whispered.

"Huh. Mine looks like a snowflake. Why is it like that?" Twilight asked the colts.

The icy one who had blushed at twilight spoke up "you spirits need to learn to control nature. We have to learn your powers."

The one named seamore gestured at his gem. It was a diamond shape, like rarity's cutie mark "we posses your powers, and you posses ours. We have to use teamwork. It seems the elements have chosen me to pair with that splendid looking mare..." he drifted to space for a second, but regained his control.

"You need to hop around and figger it out! A hop, a skip, and a jump!" The gray pony named blowin' landed on pinkie. He had a balloon shaped gem on his chest.

"Okay. It seems I'm paired with you chill" twilight smiled.

"YOU HURT A HAIR ON HER HEAD AND YOU WILL PAY!" Spike warned.

"Well, ah think ahm paired with that green feller." The colt named seed sprout nodded.

"I'm pretty excited to teach you my ways mam." Seed sprout smiled.

"I'm paired with squirrel swirl" Fluttershy whispered. The colt simply stood by her and had a quiet conversation. I was too far to hear.

Last was me. I had no partner. My partner was pony napped. A gem in the shape of my cutie mark would lay in front of me. No pony was able to absorb my element. The element began to glow, displaying an image of fire blast.  She was black. No horn. Bat wings. It was her before she was made into an alicorn, as discord had claimed. She began to speak.

"Rainbow Dash, I have always known that you were my reflected element, but now I am not with you. I have recorded this hologram two years before we meet. As you already know, I was already introduced to you. Through this hologram, I will teach you to control the power of flame. Stand and think of your loved ones. Think of the heat of the flames."

I closed my eyes shut and thought of  my friends. Of fire blast. The flames on her head. I felt hot suddenly, and opened my eyes to see that my hooves and wings produced flames.

"Aww yea!" I flew into the air, the flames gone. "Grr -.-" perfect. Now I have to do it again. Soon, after tons of practice, I was able to control fire with ease. I decided to see how my friends were doing. First, I decided to check on pinkie pie.

"...and then when you get mad, clouds begin to form!" Blowin' stated. Pinkie pie noticed me.

"Hiya dashie! Look what I can do!" She stomped a hoof, and a tornado swirled  around the library. Books flew everywhere.

"PINKIE PIIIIIIIE!" Twilight yelled.

"Woops! Lemme get that for ya!" Apple Jack raised her head and a vine grew from the floor. The vine lifted books and put them back in place. When she was done, the vine returned to the ground.

"Cool! Look what I can do!" Twilight shot a white beam from her horn and it began to snow. She shot another beam at the ground and an icy chair appeared she sat on it, exhausted from the hard work.

"Well my powers are simply marvelous!" Rarity was wearing a flowing dress that was made of water. She noticed my flames and put them out with her powers.

"Hey!" I yelled.

"Sorry dear, but you were bringing my dress to a boil."

"Well, my powers aren't so bad...." Fluttershy whispered. Her nose scrunched up and she squinted.

"Achoo." Butterflies appeared out of nowhere.
