Discord pov

I watched as fire blast and eris dueled over my affections. Eris lifted fire blast and slammed her into the ground. fire blast got back up, unharmed, and swung her tali. She hit her square in the face, eris fell back and destroyed half of the chapel. Ponies fled and screamed, about three of them killed. eris lept up and began to flap her mismatched wings. fire blast flew up also and shot balls of flames at eris. Eris dodged two, but was hit on a wing. Eris struggled to stay in the air and fire blast hovered above her. fire blast bucked eris, making her hit the ground. eris would lay limp as she shrunk to her average size. drago ran to her aid, gently lifting her face to his. fire blast went back to normal, all her friends released. They all collapsed in result of their lack of magic.

“eris…” drago whispered. she gave no response. he pressed his ear to her chest. his tensed face relaxed. He turned to me, angered.

“YOU! YOU’RE THE CAUSE OF THIS!” he yelled. I squeezed my eyes shut, and felt a searing pain in my chest. I opened my eyes to see drago with his claws inside my chest. I felt dizzy, and collapsed on the ground. I suddenly felt…..

lighter.

“DISCORD!” I heard someone yell. I looked to see fire blast weakly running towards me. She stopped and stared at me, not blinking or moving at all.

“I’m fine fires…” i told her. She gave no response.

“I’m fine. I’ll be alright. Don’t worry about me.” I tried to comfort her, but she began to shake and then scream.

“Fire Blast, I’m fine!” I reached out to touch her shoulder but pulled away. I was shocked to see my paw pass right through her. she layed down next to my body, crying into my shoulder and caressing my mane. A blinding light flashed and she was no longer an alicorn, she was her normal self. Her dark scales and dragon wings returned, and her horn was gone. She had her fangs again and all the scars eris gave her were gone. My spell had been broken.

It was like I had never existed.

I began to float out of my body, watching the sad scene. “By Celestia, how is this possible?!!” Fire blast picked up my body and flew off into the sky, tears streaming her face. I followed even though she couldn’t see me. She landed in the cave where I had left the note and gently placed my body on the ground. she began to sing:

“on the first page of our story,

the future seemed so bright.

You will always be my hero,

even when you’ve lost your mind”

she continued to sob and left my body alone. I stared solemnly, not able to do anything about it.
