Sheriff Keller arrives to the crime scene; his team is already on site dealing with the matter. The street is blocked off with caution tape to keep neighbors out of the way as EMT supports the two wounded victims. Tom rushes over to investigate. He eyes Alice getting wheeled out on a gurney first. FP is not far behind.
"Alice," Tom utters to himself. She gets rolled urgently past him. He turns to FP who looks more conscious. "Was this the Ghoulies?"
"Collar those bastards before I do," FP winces in pain. "Because if she..." Tom has never seen a man so devastated by great tragedy. FP is barely holding it together. If he loses her, he won't be able to get past the grief. "I can't."
They get loaded into the ambulance to head to Riverdale General. Tom continues inside and finds the bloody aftermath.
Hog Eye arrived to the scene, worried sick when Alice didn't pick up his warning call. He went into shock seeing not only Alice but FP too.

Hog Eye bursts back into the Whyte Wyrm. He begins to yell out his news. "You bitch! You killed two of our own!"
The room goes silent.
"She's no Serpent. Why do you care?" Penny looks amused. "I didn't like that little twink of theirs anyway. He turned out too nosy."
Hog Eye glares at her, unsure what she meant at first but certainly angry. "The Ghoulies shot Alice and FP!"
Hearing this riled up the Serpents. Though not the biggest fans of Alice since she left the Serpents, they are aware of how much care and effort she puts into FP's wellbeing. They are angry for them both.
Before it got too rowdy, Sheriff Keller makes an appearance. "Penny Peabody, you are under arrest for orchestrating the hit on Alice Smith and FP Jones!"

Fred consoles the weeping boy. His heart breaks not knowing how to make his heavy heart ease. Following the sheriff's orders, he keeps Charles safe away from his own home; the Ghoulies are ruthless; they wouldn't hesitate to hurt an innocent child. Tom confirmed FP and Alice were hurt but instructed him to not discuss it with Charles until they knew more. More so, wait until they know if they will have high hopes on a full recovery.
They reunited with Mary and the other kids in Mary's law office. The younger kids remain clueless to what's going on. The adults preferred it stay that way until they got all answers. Fred kept the older boys in the conference room while Alice watched over the younger kids in her office.
"Are they dead? You have to break it to me," Charles continues to sob. "I want to know."
"I really don't know. I'm sure they're going to be okay. Let's not worry about that right now. What matters is that you are safe. That's what your parents would have wanted."
"They made me an orphan!"
"Don't say that."
"I had a bad feeling something would happen to Dad. But Mom too? Why? Why them?"
"We haven't heard from Sheriff Keller yet. Your parents are in good hands. We will know more soon."
"I wish they were never Serpents!" Charles wishes they lived a normal life, one where they never had to worry about gang rivalries and death.

"Al, tell me you're not serious. The Serpents? No way," FP shakes his head.
"There's no need to freak out on me. I said I was only thinking about it." Alice rolls her eyes. "What harm would it really do? I could use their help. How else am I going to get by nowadays?"
