For the next whole week, the entire school was talking about Sirius Black. Finally on Saturday, Nadine had found the time to open her mother's diary. Nadine reached the place, she knew was the most peaceful in the whole school; The Astronomy Tower.

Nadine propped open her mother's diary on her lap and skipped to the part, which was named 'Sirius Black'

SIRIUS BLACK.

Dumbledore introduced us to Sirius Black few months ago. I've had heard of him before, mostly of his family. His cousin sister Bellatrix and her husband are Death Eaters since they graduated from Hogwarts, his another cousin sister Narcissa has married a Death Eater, and his younger brother is a Death Eater too; in short, the whole Black Family has a reputation of being evil and dark. Except Sirius and his another Cousin Andromeda, who ran away to marry a muggleborn. Sirius is different, he isn't interested in the Dark Arts or Voldemort or following in his family's footsteps. And Sirius was disowned by his grandfather when he was 16.

What surprises me most is his loyalty to his best mates from school, James, Remus and Peter. He has the calibre of becoming a successful Auror. I've been on missions with him, for The Order. After knowing him for some months now, he's become a close friend of Frank and I. No actually, he's more of a brother really. And that dry sense of humour can even crack a smile on Minerva's face.

He is a really strong and brave person and Lily and I have this tendency of doting on him like older sisters. He always fiegns annoyance at that but we know that deep down, he's happy about it. Maybe we remind of his sisters Andromeda. James and Lily, and Frank and I, had faced Voldemort two months ago and the way he was making sure we all right and taking care of us made my heart swell. Lily has become a best friend of mine and I was surprised to find out that we are both pregnant at the same time and Sirius' face was remarkable.

I had never seen him cry before, but that  day he had burst into tears after hearing the news. It didn't take him long to start thinking about how both the Potter and Longbottom kids would look, if they would like Quidditch or not, which subject would be their favorite or how much mischievous they would be. And the way his eyes shone while talking about all of it, was priceless. Without a doubt, I plan to click pictures of him playing with our kids, I wanna see both the kids call him uncle Padfoot and play with or tug at his hair and they would be the luckiest kids to have Sirius. I'm sure of that.

After reading this Nadine didn't know what to think. If her and Harrry's parents trusted him so much, what had led to his betrayal. Nadine pulled out the photo from her sling bag, which had Sirius Black in it. She noticed the bright and genuine smile on his features, when he was holding Nadine and Harry and Neville propped up on his shoulders. And James, Lily, Mama and Pa were looking at him lovingly, how siblings look at their adorable younger brother. Now Nadine felt both angry and sad, angry on Sirius for betraying his friends and sad for the others as they had lost someone they thought was a friend.

As the Quidditch season approached, the talks about Sirius Black died down. Nadine could see both Harry and Cedric practice hard. Nadine and Hermione were helping Harry catch up with his homework everynight. She had also seen Cedric in the library, plenty of times. He would practice all day on the pitch and catch up on his missed homework in the library at evening. Nadine would borrow books for him from Madam Pince while he was busy working on his homework.

Harry was probably practicing that day, which was the reason he was late for a DADA class. When he finally arrived, she saw the shock on Harry's face, to find Snape instead of Professor Lupin.

"This lesson began ten minutes ago, Potter, so I think we’ll make it ten points from Gryffindor. Sit down."

But Harry didn’t move.
