Alice and Lily were sitting on the couch at the Potter house, steaming cups of hot cocoa in their hands. Frank, James and Sirius were discussing about Quidditch matches to attend after the war. Sirius had decided to join them after being on a mission for the Order for several weeks.
"I'm telling you mate, once this war comes to an end, the first thing I want to do is, attend a Quidditch game with Harry" James said filling his cup with more cocoa.
"You're right mate. Merlin knows when was the last time I've been to a Quidditch match" Frank told James as he laid his head on the back of sofa.
"People are planning to take their son to Quidditch matches forgetting their own brother. Dagger of betrayal straight through my heart" Sirius whined dramatically.
"Oh come on Padfoot, stop being so dramatic, we will all be going. You, me and Lilly, Frank and Alice, Harry and Neville and Nadine" James assured Sirius.
"I'm not the best Quidditch player but yeah, I would enjoy a nice match" Alice said setting her mug down.
"Yes I definitely remember how good a flyer you are. I clearly remember the first you 'tried' to ride a broom and how it went out of control and you had a broken wrist" Frank teased.
"Hey I learned how to fly decently now for auror training" said Alice feigning offense trying to hide a smile.
"Yeah decently Alice, you fly decently. That's the correct word" teased James
"Can we talk about something else?" Alice said pouting. At that Frank, James, Lily and Sirius burst out laughing.
"Hey Sirius, we were updated about your mission. You were brilliant mate, I'm proud of you" appreciated Frank.
"Thank you Frank. It's means a lot coming from you mate" said Sirius becoming more comfortable by putting his head on the armrest and his legs in James lap. James made a face at that and Frank chuckled at his two friends.
Nadine had the cat of the potters sitting in her lap. She was stroking the cat with her little hands and the cat was purring against Nadine's hand. Harry was sitting beside her, poking her face from time to time and Nadine would giggle softly everytime Harry did that. Neville had fallen asleep on the the rug hugging a soft toy.
Harry had made a fair progress in talking he had moved from babbling gibberish to saying his own name in an incoherent way and some other words like "ma", "da" and "pafoo" . He was trying to teach Nadine to say it. "Arry... Arry"
"Arry.... Arry" Nadine was trying to repeat after him. The cat had decided to move to a more cosy place above the book shelf. It was swaying it's tail magestically behind it. Harry crawled towards the toys that were lying near the bookshelf and sat there cradling the toy. The cat hit it's tail on one of the heavy brass showpiece and the showpiece was tumbling down about to hit Harry on the head. Nadine's head had whipped into Harry's direction and she let out a shrill cry "Arry"
Before anyone of the adult could move or take out their wands to stop the showpiece from falling, the object started floating in mid air. Harry who was unaware of anything happening near him was still cradling the toy and cooing softly. All the adults had whipped their heads in Nadine's direction. The heavy showpiece was thrown a little distance away from Harry. The adults were looking thunderstruck with their jaw nearly touching the floor.
"Di-did she ju-just do accidental ma-ma-magic?" stuttered Alice frozen in place.
"It looks like it. Oh merlin Alice! This is... oh. I can't even find the right words. I'm so happy" Lily said, looking absolutely flabbergasted.
