My annoyance towards my Executive PA was increasing with fervour day by day. Not that it was making any difference to her. She was too self-absorbed, and as far as she was concerned, she is great and perfect. - Oh! Who was I kidding...? Phoebe Ziva Smith really seemed perfect despite being exasperating when it comes to me.

Throughout the years, I've silently observed her smile and talk as nicely as her personality allowed it to other people but never once to me. If she as much as smirks to me, it was as if God himself showed me some grace. Granted, these smirks of hers usually occurs whenever she makes one of her smart-ass comments or when she is annoyed or angry. There are even times she would be supporting these 'piss off' smirk only she could pull off. Even I, Federick Archer, couldn't seem to pull off the latter. Nor have I seen anyone else smirk so beautifully when they are pissed.

The tipping point of my annoyance towards Phoebe though was when she ditched me at the airport, never bothered to come to the meeting, defied my direct order yet again and shoved her unbreakable contract excuse in my face. But the worst part of all was when she appointed her annoying inefficient assistant to assist me throughout the weekend when she knows damn well how much I hate her.

Arriving at the office on Monday, I was hoping to see Miss Smith, to get a reasonable explanation for her stupid, unnecessary rebellion but her useless assistant was still here, grimacing at me like a monkey who just got out of the zoo. If she thought the face she was making was sexy, I had massive news for her. In all reality, her smiling and flirting together with her heavily caked face had the opposite effect she was aiming for. Thank God I am used to this kind of behaviour from her type of women... gold-digging bitches.

"Is Miss Smith here yet?" Part of me already knowing the answer, I curtly inquired while keeping my distance from her.

"No, but I am-..."

"Is she even going to show up today?" I coldly cut in, her fake sweet voice sounding like a shrilling witch to my ears.

"I don't know Mr Archer, sir. Miss Smith is either going to be late or not come in at all for today or the entire week."

Not receiving an appropriate answer from her dumb head, I icily glared at her, causing her to squirm in her seat. With the accumulated fury inside of me boiling, I stormed off to my office, my arctic silence speaking volume. "Okay... don't show up today but you will eventually have to come back and confront me..." Mentally promising vengeance, the ideas of ways to torture Phoebe brought a devilish smirk to my face.

Unfortunately for me and my temper, my morning was brought to another halt, and I couldn't move any further with my business without certain documents that had to be solely prepared by Miss Smith. Why you asked; well, let's just say it was another one of her stupid contract condition, where she and I were the only ones to have full access to all the company's information and documents. And since she was the one who did most of the work on these specific confidential documents, all of the latest information and documents were still with her majesty. To top it off, she was not even answering her damn phone.
