Akari's P.O.V.
After about 5 minutes, Ace pulled up to an apartment complex. It was brown and I think it had 3 stories.
It looked kind of run down and old but I mean how bad can their apartment actually be?
We got out of the car a walked to the 2nd floor.
When we got to their apartment door, Ace turned around and looked at me with a serious face which was actually really freaky.
"I apologize in advance for what you are about to see."
"But, Why? What's in-"
"Just, don't ask."
Ace turned the key in the lock and opened the door to...
An absolutely normal apartment!
I didn't understand why he was apologizing until I saw Luffy run past both of us and practically slam his head into the fridge!
Before you knew it, the entire fridge was empty! How is that even possible!?
"Oh, I'm sorry Akari! Do you want something to eat?" Luffy asked so innocently.
"THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO EAT YOU BAKA!" Ace yelled.
"Really? I ate everything!? Aw man, I thought we had more food!" Luffy pouted.
"I guess we'll go buy more later when Akari leaves," Ace said.
"We can go to the store after if you guys want?" I suggested.
"REALLY!?!" Ace and Luffy exclaimed with sparkles in their eyes.
"Sure!"
We locked the apartment back up and walked to the nearest store.
"Guys, what was One Piece Highschool actually made for?" I asked out of pure curiosity.
"Well that's an easy question, why did you get kicked out of your old school?" Ace questioned
Oh god I was hoping no one would ever ask.
"Do I have to tell you?" I asked.
"No, but do you get the point?" Ace answered.
"Yeah I understand now," I replied.
We walked into the grocery store and bought everything we could without Luffy or Ace even trying to shove something that wasn't needed into the cart.
For example, Luffy tried convincing me it was a good idea to buy 6 boxes of each cereal.
Yeah no.
When we left, a group of people appeared.
"Hey Luffy!" one of them said.
"Hey Usopp!" He replied
I hid behind Ace. I'm kind of shy when it comes to meeting mass amounts of people like all at once.
"It's ok, they are nice people," he replied in a soothing voice.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"I'm sure," he replied.
For some reason, Ace made me feel safe like I was ok when he was there.
Weird, huh?
Ace's P.O.V.
When we were walking back from the store, a bunch of Luffy's friends appeared.
"Hey Luffy!" Usopp shouted.
"Hey Usopp!" Luffy replied.
Out of now where, Akari hid behind me.
You could tell she was scared.
"It's ok, they are nice people," I replied trying to calm her.
"Are you sure?" She asked in such a pure yet worried voice.
"I'm sure," I reassured her.
Akari seems so delicate. How could she of ended up in a place like this?
I feel like as if I can protect, more like I want to.
She is so... gentle.
She is so... fragile.
I just don't want her to get hurt by anything or anyone.
I just want to protect her.
Weird, huh?
