„Ella, Get Away From That Guy"

My mum wanted me to stay at home but I couldn't. I had to warn my friends. If I don't do this, his killing spree will never stop.
The whole time through our first lesson I drew
random things on a paper that laid in front of me.
„Did you saw what she was doing though?" Carter hit Mason's shoulder playfully and laughed with him.
Mason's eyes met mine and he send me a soft smile. If a smile could make it all go away, make everything better, then this would be it.
Unfortunately we're stuck in reality.
The school bell rang and I took my bag and made my way to the front of the class.

„Hey, uhm, I need to talk with you all about something."
Everyone in my class starred at me.
Samantha rolled her eyes.
„These accidents that are happening aren't normal accidents."
Some of my classmates started whispering.
Zoe and Celia gave me a confused look.
„Is this your big coming out as a criminal or what?"
Samantha send me an evil grin.
„No, but I know that someone killed-"

The door to the classroom opened and two officers stepped into the classroom.
„Ella Gray and Mason Williams, are they here?"
Mason and me raised our hands.
The officers looked at each other and then back at us.
„We have to take you both to the police station. There are some things the detective wants to discuss with you."
One of the officers walked towards Mason.
„You come with me."
They both walked out of the classroom.
„What-?" I didn't knew what to say.
Celia and Zoe gave me a worried look. Carter and Jason looked confused and Samatha seemed pleased by this whole situation.
The whole way through the hallways people were starring at me and whispering.
I mean I can't be mad at them. This situation seemed not only ridiculous to them but for me too.
The Officer had a grip on my wrist. As if I'm going to run away if he would let go.
„What does the detective wants to discuss with me?"

I got in the police car and put a seatbelt on.
The officer stayed silent, sat in the car and drove away from the school.
This is all Freddy's fault. Before he visited people in dreams and killed them it was so peacefully.
On the way to the police station I starred out the window and saw trees passing by. I almost didn't caught the power plant that was standing there.
As soon as I get out of the police station I have to go there with Tina.
After twenty minutes we arrived at the police station.
The officer guided me inside the station and into an interrogation room.
„The detective will discuss things with you after he's done with Mr. Williams interrogation."

I've been waiting for twenty minutes in this little interrogation room. It seemed like time was standing still.
The door opened and a tall brunette man in a suit came into the room.
„Mrs. Gray, I'm detective Lawson."
He sat down on the chair in front of me. A little brown table with a little lamp and two glasses of water standing between us.
„We have some questions for you regarding Natalia Harris's death. Let me make one thing clear." He looked straight into my eye.
„I had a few people in front of me, trying to get themselves out of trouble with a lie who failed miserably, so don't even try it."
This detective made me nervous even though I had nothing to hide.
„You were with Natalia on the day she died, is that true?"
I slightly nodded my head. „Yeah, uhm, I tried to cheer her up a little, so we had breakfast together at her place."
Officer Lawson wrote down a few things and looked at me.
„Who had the idea to go down into the basement?"
I took a little sip of my water and looked at the table.
„It was my idea."
„Interesting. Why did you wanted to go downstairs?"
I sighed. „Cause I never knew someone who had snakes and their kinda fascinating."
He looked around the room and then back at me.
„Listen, I don't believe this. As we both know Natalia was afraid of snakes. Why would she go into the basement to visit them?"
„I don't know. She told me that she visited the snakes a few times with Miranda too."
„Were you jealous of Miranda's and Natalia's friendship?"
I rolled my eyes. „No, why should I?"
He looked at his paper and started writing again.
It clicked. His weird questions and the reason why I'm here. This isn't that much about the questions. I'm a suspect.
„Are you close with Mr. Williams?"
„It's a complicated story. Can I ask a question?"
He grinned. „This isn't about me, but sure."
„Why am I the suspect?"
He laid his pen on the table. „Because there are too many things that are unclear and you were the last one that was with her in that room."
I rolled my eyes. „Doesn't mean that I killed her."
He grinned and closed the file he had before him. „We'll see, and until then you and Mr. Williams are being watched over."
He got up and went out of the room.
I shook my head. This is the worst.

I went out of the room and saw my dad talking with the officers.
„What did he wanted to know?"
I turned around and saw Mason looking at me.
„Uhm, they think I have something to do with Natalia's dead and they think that we both work together."
Mason hugged me. „We're gonna get through it. I mean we know that we're not guilty."
„ELLA GET AWAY FROM THAT GUY."
My dad came with an angry look towards Mason and I.
Mason stopped hugging me and gave me a light smile. „I'm gonna go. We see us tomorrow right?"
I looked into his eyes and nodded.
While Mason walked out of the police station my dad hugged me.
„I don't allow to see that guy no more. He's no good."
I nodded even though I knew that I wouldn't leave Mason alone. I have to save him and my friends and give the real murderer in this case a ride to hell.
