Chapter 18

On Friday at school I told my friends that I would bring "someone" to the party at Ally's and they all cheered in excitement.

I still haven't told them anything about Fion, besides Chiara and Ben of course. I know that the party won't be huge because we are staying at Ally's house and there will only be our group of friends and about ten other kids we all know from school.

I told Fiona to come around 08:30, so I technically had enough time to prepare everyone to meet her.

The party already started when I arrived at eight and I walk in becoming more and more nervous.

I get myself a drink and make my way to the table, where Lucas, Ally, Chiara and a few of our friends from school already sit and talk.
The music wasn't that loud and the whole atmosphere was really chill.

When I sat down next to Chiara, they all welcomed me, already a little tipsy from the empty bottles of alcohol standing on the table and cheered when Ben came back from the kitchen with full ones.

"So Olivia, where is your mystery man? We are all waiting to meet him. He has to be one hell of a guy when you only let us meet him by now."
Ally laughs and than explains to the other ones on the table that I was supposed to bring my boyfriend of nearly two months to the party tonight.

"She didn't tell us anything about him and I am VERY eager to finally meet him. So where is he?"

"Coming later, I wanted to have a drink first. So Ben, give me one of those shots you have standing in front of you. Anybody else?"

I try to change the topic. My hands are slightly shaking when I take the shot out of his hands and nervously wait for the right moment to tell them about Fiona. Chiara puts her hand on mine in an attemped to calm me down a little, noticing me nervously tapping my fingers on the table and my right leg bouncing up and down under the table.

Suddenly my phone rings and everybody looks at me. Earlier I told Fiona to text me when she arrived so I could open the door for her.

"Ehhm, I am just... getting them from the door."
I ramble and while I quickly make my way to the door, I can hear some of the girls on the table squeaking in excitement.

When I am standing in front of Fiona and look into her familiar eyes, I immediately calm down a little. She softly smiles at me and closes the door behind her after she came in.

"Are you ready?"
She asks me and I nod while I lay my arm around her waist to keep myself up. I guide her through the house to the table and relax a little by feeling her arm around my waist as well. We arrive at the table and everyone immediately looks up at us, standing in front of the table.

"Guys, this is Fiona... my girlfriend..."

Silence.

Shock can be seen on everyone's faces except Chiara's and Ben's who simly smile and nod.

"Oh"

Lucas recovers from the shock faster than the others and a small smile appears on his face.

"It's nice to finally meet you, Fiona. You look different than I imagened but it's all cool with me. I am Lucas and this girl, who looks like she is about to pass out any second, is Ally."
He jokes and the ice is broken right away.

"Well I thought I would present me to you the best way I can, so I put on my good clothes to impress you and make you forget the fact that I, in fact, am a girl and no boy."

Fiona and everybody else laugh and we sit down.I breath out havily and calm down, glad about everyones reaction.

While Fiona is asked questions about herself, Chiara grins at me and I laugh.
