I was on the toilet when I got a phone call from my mum.
Rachel Pot is, if anything, a stickler for tradition.
Ever since I ran off with Murdoc when I was, like, 18 or so, Mum has made it a tradition to give me a phone call on every major holiday and my birthday.
So this was normal.
" 'Ello my baby boy!" She cried over the phone, "Merry-"
"Mum, eht's only the eleventh."
"I know, Stu, sweetheart, I'm juss so excited ah couldn't wait 'till Christmas Eve!"
"Yeah, ah could tell."
I rolled my eyes.
"Luv yew, Mum, but ah gotta take care a sumfink. Newdull's frowin' a Christmas party an' we're all gettin' tha studio ready."
I heard Mum gasp.
"Oh, you are such a sweet boy, helpin' 'er out wif that- how is she anyways?"
"Same as last Christmas, juss olda... Oi, tell ya wot, if'n ya okay wif seein' Mu'doc afta all dat's 'appened, why don't yew come ova for tha party? Eht's on Christmas Eve."
"Well, no' sure if'n I could be civil with 'at layabout baby theif," She said with a low voice, "I suppose I could try. Tell Newdull an' the othas I'll be there!"
I smiled.
"Great! I will. Luv yew."
"Luv yew too, honey."
"Bye."
"Bye!"
*Click*
Noodle was excited, Murdoc was scared, and Russel... Well, I couldn't tell what he was feeling, really.
Mudz actually begged Noodle to let him hide in his room on Christmas Eve. You can imagine how that panned out...
"No."
"But-"
"No buts, Murdoc! You are attending that party, and you will have a civil conversation with 2-D's mother!"
"BUT NOODLE-"
"WHAT DID I JUST SAY?!!"
It ended up with Noodle sitting on Murdoc's head while threatening to break his legs.

Russel had to pull her off of him.
Murdoc actually hid behind me.
"Please don't make me face the wrath of your Mum, Stu!" He begged, "I'll be your slave for a month!"
I rolled my eyes.
"Mudz, ah promise yew eht won't be that bad." I reassured him.
Didn't stop him from worshipping the ground I walked for the rest of the day.
He followed me around, wouldn't let me do anything for myself, and made sure I was comfortable whenever I sat down.
He even rubbed my shoulders.
It felt quite nice, having my crush treat me like a dainty princess.
Made me all flustered and such... 😊
