Chapter 1
Meet Aisha

I believe, we are all destined to meet a predetermined number of people throughout our lives. Some of them become an important part of our hearts while others just pass. Some teach us a strong lesson and disappear with a deep impression on our souls while many stay with us until our last breath.

Out of these, there is that one person whom many of us call our soul mate.

Some people are lucky enough to find them at the right time and in the right place while others aren't that blessed and end up with the right person in the wrong time or the wrong person at the right time.
I haven't found mine yet but my beautiful younger sister, Alina feels that she has found her supposed soul mate and she wants me to meet him. So in order to knock some sense into my crazy twenty one year old not-so-baby sister, I need to accompany her to a New Year party to which both of us have been invited by her boyfriend.

Yeah, it's thirty first December and we call it the New Year's Eve. I love this day but not wholeheartedly. I like the celebration and joy this day brings. I like that this day marks the beginning of something new.

But, this day also reminds us of the fact that we haven't really done anything for the last three hundred and sixty five days and that it's time to renew our resolutions and never comply with them.

And hence, here I am, sitting amongst a whole lot of clothes scattered all around me and with not more than two hours in my hands to get ready for the night, mentally screaming I have nothing to wear.

It's a typical girl problem.

I then decided to lay three dresses in front of me and do ingy pingy pongy.

That works, generally.
Don't judge me please!
I'm just twenty five.

I chose a blue halter neck dress, a black backless gown and a golden short sweetheart neckline dress and lay them in front of me.

Just when I was about to begin with my unique way of selecting clothes, I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in," I answered, rasing my voice a little so the person on the other side of the door could hear me.

"Aisha di, I have nothing to wear," she almost dragged her body into the room and kept a complaining look plastered on her face.

See, I told ya!
Having nothing to wear is a common girl problem.

"And why have you selected a blue dress here? We have a dress code," she crossed her arms against her chest and informed me in a tone that told me she was really irritated.

"Okay fine," I picked the dress up and kept it aside. "Happy?" I asked to which she stomped her foot and sat at the edge of the bed.

"I really have nothing have nothing to wear," she whined.

"Same here," I assured and put the remaining two dresses aside too.

We sat there in silence for a minute after which I asked, "What kind of a party is it? Like a campfire sort of thing or a whole night, wild, crazy type party?"
