Chapter Twenty one

My heart was beating loud, you could hear it from a billion miles away as Bailey and Mrs. Johnson's faces matching mine. "You... You guys hooked up?", asked Mrs. Johnson, in disbelief, she looked like she was gonna faint right then and there. Bailey's jaw was practically right where Satan is figuring out what was this thing he just discovered. "I... I- I didn't mean it like-", before I could even stop myself Bailey and Mrs. Johnson dramatically fell on the ground trying to catch their breathes.

"Guys, I was only kidding! We never actually hooked up!", I said, laughing nervously and scratching the back of my neck awkwardly. But it never made anything better because this just made them glued to the floor like their lives depended on it. Everybody couldn't be bothered doing anything so they took out their phones and listened to music while reading or just laughing out loud watching Try not to laugh on YouTube. "What has Abigail turned into?", breathed Bailey, making me roll my eyes.

It's been hours ever since Bailey and Mrs. Johnson were practically on the floor, I got out my lunch ages ago because it was lunch. Ms. Mendes didn't care where I was because Mrs. Johnson sent her an email saying Bailey and I are in the library helping her. When in reality... They're both glued to the floor, while I, Abigail Elizabeth Rosleyn Rodriguez, put all the books back in their places. "If you guys are staying like that, I swear I'll take the keys and lock you both in here!", I called out to them being on the other side of the library... Of course I had to. "I don't think I'll ever see Abigail the same ever again!", said Mrs. Johnson, letting out a sigh. Bailey did too and agreed with her, I swear they're like the best pair of friends they are in the world.

"Mrs. Johnson?", called out a certain someone. I looked in between the gap in the shelves and there I saw... Gabriel Henderson. My heart beat quickened faster than a bolt of lightning, Quicksilver and Flash. His mouth moved but I couldn't hear what he said, but whatever it was his face blushed and he was acting all shy and that. Oh, how adorable is he? He's so cute when he blushes! Focus, Abigail! "Oh, don't worry we'll give it to her! I'm sure she'll love the invitation!", chirped Mrs. Johnson, a hint of tease in her voice. Smirking at Bailey as she passed the envelope to Bailey who gladly took it and put it in his bag. Curiosity took over my body. Who was that for? And who's she? I saw them high-five each other and did... What the heck was that? Did they... Did they just do a handshake? Suddenly I couldn't take it anymore.

I fast walked over to them and pinched them both on the shoulder. "What was that?", I asked, jealousy clearly heard in my tone of voice. "Tsk! Tsk! You don't have to know everything, you know!", teased Bailey, while Mrs. Johnson gave him a pat on the back. "Are you kidding me? Just let me see!", I whined like a little kid been told she can't have chocolate cake for dinner. Bailey sighed and took the envelope out from his bag, he swiftly moved it in front of my face before I even had the chance to grab it. I glared at him with my deadliest death glare, this instantly made him whimper but covered it with a teasing smile, a hint of fear showing in them. "Oh, for goodness sake's just give the damn envelope!", said Mrs. Johnson, impatiently as she took it from Bailey's hands and passed it to me.

I gave her a quick Thank you so much and snatched the envelope from her hand like a vicious beast munching down its prey. I opened it up and to my surprise, it was a picture of Gabriel making the cutest face I have ever seen. Aw, he looks like a little baby- wait, no he is! 

Dearest Abby, 

I would like you to come to the Henderson household and see all the other pictures of Gabriel when he was little!

I chuckled at the last sentence of Stacy's letter and I looked up to see Mrs. Johnson and Bailey peering over my head. "Oh my god! I wish I could see all his baby photos! That would be so cute!", chirped Bailey, Mrs. Johnson squealed in my ear causing me have a heart attack. "Geez, Mrs. Johnson!", I breathed out, holding a hand to my chest. I don't know if it's just me...

But today may have been the best day of my life!

I looked at the photo of Gabriel once again, how can you not fall for this guy? I smiled at the photo of him and sticking it in my notebook. I think I'm gonna keep this for a little while. Just for safe keeping, hehe.

How are you liking this book? I've improved a lot by writing here on wattpad tbh. About a year ago I'd write stories but never published them bc I've always doubted myself and my writing skills. But look where I am today! I can't believe it! Thank you thank you thank you so much!
