Chapter seventeen

Ethan's P.O.V

"Ethan, your phone's ringing! It's from Gabriel!", yelled Christain, my 10 years old cousin. I rolled my eyes, put my book down and went downstairs. "Nevermind! He stopped ringing! What is it with Gabriel? He's been calling ever since... I don't know, ever since you came here? But anyway he's annoying!", Christain said, she hates Gabriel as much as she hates Justin Beiber. I mean come on! Why do girls hate him? He's not that bad, is he?

"Don't say that about Gabriel! You know, when you were just 2... He put you to sleep by singing to you, he even calmed you down when you were crying over your kindergarten crush!", I said, grabbing my phone from the coffee table. "Ha! I'm surprised he managed to that, I must've gotten deaf because of his singing and maybe that's how I got to sleep!", she said with fake enthusiasm. She's only 10 and she's got a pretty big mouth, to be honest. I wonder how Aunt MJ and Uncle Peter managed to raise a kid like Christain, she must've been a handful. "Can you leave? You and your thoughts are disturbing me with my studying!", she said, clearly annoyed. Who am I kidding? She already is! "Geez, are you on your period?", I asked, instantly I regretted it because of her chasing me all the way to the guest bedroom I stayed in, her holding a bread knife. 

Yes, I'm a 17-year-old boy scared of a 10-year-old girl.

If you EVER get her mad...

I mean EVER... 

You'll regret it for the rest of your life and have nightmares about it! I still do from the moment she got mad at me for the first time. Sheesh! This girl won't get a grip on herself!

It's been 2 hours since I got locked in my room, I grabbed my phone and called Gabriel. "Ethan! You've been ignoring my calls for the past 2 weeks! I miss you!", whined Gabriel, aww... My sweet little apple pie misses me! "Sorry, apple pie!", I laughed, he hates being called that because that was Brittany's nickname for him in middle school. "Say it one more time... I'm gonna kill you!", he said, his voice seemed scary but I shrugged it off and laughed. He can be scary sometimes. "Oh, yeah! Abby potato told me to say Hi!", he said, my cheeks suddenly felt warm. "She did?", I asked, a smile on my face. "Yeah, Bailey also misses you too!", he said, it was clear that he was with Bailey because I heard some death threats in Tagalog. "Tell him I miss him too!", I laughed, I heard some laughing on the phone, a smile on my face until... 

Wait... 

Gabriel called Abigail...

"Gabriel!", I said jealousy has taken over my body. "Yeah?", he asked, a smile in his voice. "What was the name you called Abigail again?", I asked, why does this happen all the time? "Oh, Abby potato! Don't worry she lets me call her that!", he said, I thought I heard Bailey go 'Yeah, they had sex last night!'  but I must've been hallucinating. "Ah! Let me guess... You're locked in your room because Chris chased you around with a bread knife? You know, that kid is a wild one!", he laughed, soon my jealousy has washed away.

A short chapter of Ethan's P.O.V and I'm just wondering... In some Wattpad books, the mean girls are named Brittany. I guess Brittany is a somewhat popular name for naming a character that's mean. Anyway!
