"Dad, honestly... I'll be fine! It's not like his family is going to imprison me forever!", I laughed, while he was glaring at the road. Seriously? What has the road done to you? "I know, I know! But I don't want you guys locked in his room doing God knows what!", exclaimed dad, making me roll my eyes. "But, hey... I'm just letting you know that if he breaks your heart... We're going to move out and you're never going to see him ever again!", said dad, seriousness in his tone of voice. That's why I love dad! He's the best.
I smiled at him and wrapped my arms around him before getting out of the car. "Oh, Abby... Be sure to come back home at 10!", yelled dad as I walked up to the doorstep. I turned around and gave him a flying kiss, him catching it in return, causing me to giggle. With that, he drove out of the Henderson driveway. I looked before me and saw how big his house was, I looked to my right and saw Gabriel's car causing me to frown. God, I wish I had a car like that. I took a deep breath and my hand reached up to knock on the door... My hands shaking, my heart beating fast and my breath hitching. I was on the verge of fainting.
Just before my fist even had the chance to touch the door, it flung open to reveal one of Gabriel's butlers. "Ah! Ms. Rodriguez, you're finally here! Please come in!", he said, politely bowing to me as I walked into the house. I gasped at the chandeliers hanging up the ceiling and the fancy pieces of furniture in the living room and the kitchen... Oh my god! Don't let me start with that! It's marble countertop making me shield my eyes from the brightness it's causing because of the sunlight blaring through the gigantic window. "Wow!", I whispered as I looked around my eyes widening at everything I look. "Miss, this way!", said the butler as he leads me to the living room where I saw Stacy.
The butler cleared his throat with a smile on his face, he must be close with the family. Stacy looked up from her book and her eyes widened in surprise, she squealed and she ran up to me with her arms wide open engulfing me in a hug. "Oh my god! You actually came!", she screamed, just then I saw Gabriel leaning against a wall with a smile on his face, his arms crossed across his chest. He was wearing a T-shirt, something Harry Styles would where and skinny jeans. His hair looked like he just ran his fingers through it but somehow made it look cuter. My breath was almost taken away from me. "Hey!", I breathed, looking at him with my plain brown eyes. "Hey, Abby potato!", he said, chuckling as he walked up to me and Stacy, biting his lip. "Oh, let's go to my room and hang out all day long looking at the photos of Gabriel!", said Stacy, grabbing a hold of my hand dragging me all the way to her room. Gabriel followed in suit, giving me his adorable smiles.
...
Stacy, Gabriel and I are in the living room watching movies. It's been 2 hours ever since I got here and I'm hungry, all we ate are pop-tarts, popcorn, and snacks. "I'm way better looking than that guy!", scoffed Gabriel, I looked at him and back at Dylan O'Brien on the screen. We were watching Maze Runner. "Yeah, right!", Stacy and I said at the same time, we looked at each other and did our handshake. "Dylan O'Brien is so adorable!", I said, letting out a dreamy sigh. I looked at the corner of my eye to see Gabriel glaring at me, aww!
He's jealous! my subconscious mind sang, causing me to secretly chuckle.
Just then Thomas Brodie-Sangster came on the screen, Stacy and I were immediately fangirling causing Gabriel to storm out of the room and go upstairs. What was his problem? I mean, it's not like I'm not being serious or anything! For God's sakes, it's Thomas freaking Brodie-Sangster! Of course, I'm being serious! But I looked at Gabriel's retrieving back, his body language clearly showing jealousy and anger, sometimes I worry too much about him. "Hey, I'll be back in a sec Stacy!", I said, standing up and going after him. "Okay!", mumbled Stacy, her eyes never leaving the T.V screen. I caught up with Gabriel just before he closed his bedroom door, he didn't even have to look at me as he tried to close the door again. I used all my strength to hold the door from closing. "Gabriel, what's wrong with you?", I asked, softly.
Suddenly he got out, fully opening the door startling me and making me step back. "What's wrong with me? The fact that you were all over that Thomas guy!", he spat, his eyes mesmerizing brown eyes no longer holding happiness in them. "Hey, I wasn't being serious or anything! He's just a celebrity!", I said, raising my voice. "Just? What do you mean just, huh? When you clearly have no clue what I feel about you!", he yelled, making me gasp. His eyes softened for a moment but he covered it up by a glare. Confusion must've been written on my face as he rolled his eyes, going back into his room and slamming the door in my face.
I went back downstairs, confusion clouding my head. What was that about? I don't know, but I think it's about Vanessa. Stacy gave me a look asking me if what was that about, I gave her a shrug as we went back to watching cute Dylan O'Brien and Thomas Brodie-Sangster. I couldn't even concentrate on the movie as the event from before came flooding back in my head.
Just? What do you mean just, huh? When you clearly have no clue what I feel about you!
His words keep playing in my head until Stacy clicked me back to reality. "What do you want to do now? You've got only 30 minutes until you go back home!", said Stacy, pouting in the most cutest way. I laughed at her and ruffled her hair, her playfully glaring at me, causing me to laugh even more. We got out the canvas, paints, aprons, paintbrushes, and newspapers in Stacy's room, on her desk. "You're so good!", I complimented Stacy, I looked at mine and it looked like a unicorn just pooped on it. Stacy laughed at my painting causing me to laugh too. "You know what you do?", she asked, examining my painting. "What?", I asked, smiling at her like a kid getting chocolate ice cream for her birthday.
"Just be creative and use your imagination!", she exclaimed, making me smile more. It's been 10 minutes and my painting turned out good, better than I expected. "See? I told you!", said Stacy, giving me a side hug, I gave one back. "Ugh, thank you so much!", I said, holding up my canvas. It's beautiful and I haven't even tried painting in my life. "How did you learn to paint?", I asked, Stacy, giving me a beaming smile and shrugged her shoulders.
I got home at exactly 10 pm, I opened the door to my house. I walked over to the kitchen and saw a sticky note on the fridge written by Bailey and dad.
Went to the movies because we got bored without you!
Bailey & dad xxI chuckled as I went upstairs and changed into my pajamas, closing the lights before going under my covers instantly knocked out. Tonight was fun and I think I found my little spirit animal.
...
So far, this may have been my favorite chapter I've ever written (second to Gabriel's first P.O.V of course!), I hope you're loving this book as much as I do!
