Abigail's P.O.V

It's been 2 days since Gabriel and I kissed, also since I apologized to him. It's been 1 month and Ethan's coming back in 2 months. Damn, I missed him being around even if we haven't really hung out properly or even got to know each other. Guess who's excited for Ethan to come back? Yep, you guessed right...

Bailey Curtis!

I don't know what made him like Ethan but I think it was love at first sight (according to what Bailey told me) and it was like a cupid hit him. I mean yes, Ethan is hot and I'm not gonna lie he kind of took my breath away but not the way Gabriel does to me. Wait, did I just compare Ethan Helena and Gabriel Henderson? What's going on with me? I snapped out of my trance and tried to focus on what Ms. Mendes was saying. Is Ethan a good kisser though? Nah, I don't think so. Gabriel's way better. I bet he can make me scream his name. Nah, it'll be louder when I scream Gabriel's name. "Ms. Rodriguez? Are you alright?", asked Ms. Mendes, a smirk playing on her lips while everyone looked at me with teasing smiles.

Oh... My... God...

Did they hear all of it?

"Yes, Abby! We heard all of it!", laughed Bailey next to me making my cheeks turn into the color of crimson red. "W-what? Pfft, what are you talking about?", I asked, immediately giving it away by my nervous laughter. The whole class laughed and their teasing smiles became more intimidating, causing me to sink into my seat even more. "Yeah, we've known!", laughed a girl in the back. I can't believe I just said that out loud! My hands suddenly found its way covering my face and I groaned in embarrassment.  "You know... Abby, learn to at least keep comments to yourself!", whispered Bailey, chuckling at my crimson red cheeks.

"Shut up!", I hissed, grabbing me a hoodie and putting it over my head. Not caring if I looked like a hobo or not. This just made the whole class laugh even more, but I swear I just saw Ms. Mendes biting her lip in order not to laugh. I secretly shot a glare at Ms. Mendes' head when she turned around continuing with the class. "Oh my god, I can't believe she said that in front of everyone!", a group of girls whispering about on the left side of the classroom. I rolled my eyes and huffed angrily and wrote the notes down on the book, causing them to giggle at me.

...

It's been a solid minute and the line hasn't moved an inch, I'm here in the cafeteria waiting patiently for the people on the front of the line to move when suddenly I hear a familiar voice. "But, Jane! I want a chocolate muffin! Please, I'll pay you back tomorrow! Just this once!", whined Bailey, kneeling on his two knees in front of the cafeteria lady. Jane had her hands at her hips, narrowing her eyes at Bailey. "No, you won't get any more chocolate muffins! You may be the exchange student but you never paid for it!", she said, raising her voice. She was making a scene because of a couple of people eating and watching the drama. I rolled my eyes and sighed, walking over to them.

I grabbed Bailey's arms and helped him to his feet, him shooting a glare my way. "Jane, oh lovely, beautiful, Jane!" she looked at me with her 'Are you kidding me?'  look. I cleared my throat and continued. "Look, Jane! I'll pay it for him now, how about that? You won't even have to worry! Bailey, here, clearly doesn't keep his promises instead keeps breaking them, here's the money... Bailey, here's the chocolate muffin! Now, are we all sorted?", I asked, the two of them nodding their heads in agreement. Jane's eyes trickled in delight and please at the sight of money in my hand. "Oh, you sweetheart!", whispered Jane as her eyes went cross-eyed at the money in her eyes as if it was something she hasn't seen before.

Dragging Bailey to the Library was a hassle because he kept stopping every millisecond just to inhale his muffin. Honestly, I don't know what's with his new obsession with muffins now because last time I checked last week he was obsessing over croissants. Mrs. Johnson was nowhere to be found in the library as we made our way to the bean bags and flopped our bodies on them. Me sighing in exhaustion, seriously, though I need to work out more. "You know, I was only putting a show back there so you can pay for me!", laughed Bailey, making me groan. "I'm not even kidding, Bailey! You need to sort out your priorities because I'm sure I won't be around anymore doing things for you!", I said, sighing once again as I felt my body relax against the bean bag under me.

Mrs. Johnson walked out of her office and shut the door behind her, dropping the papers on the ground once she caught sight of us. "Ugh, you guys! Stop scaring me- Ooh! Muffin, give me, give me!", said Mrs. Johnson, her hands snapping like crab's hand would. I laughed at her childish action as she made her way towards Bailey, only making him eat the whole thing. "Nwmpl yeh wen't halp eny!", said Bailey, bread crumbs flying in Mrs. Johnson's face making her pout. Not gonna lie that was insanely cute. "Aww!", I said, clasping my hands together like a person would when admiring a puppy or a kitten.

We spent hours and hours on end reading books, music blaring through Bailey's speakers he bought with him. It's half an hour after school and I texted dad telling him that Bailey and I are staying at school hanging out with Mrs. Johson.

Dad:  Okay! Same for me though, I won't be home until another 3 hours because of my boss's lazy ass that's why!

But who's gonna make my Adobo for dinner tonight and Sinigang?  Bailey's gonna burn the house down if he cooked dinner!

Dad:  Hahaha! That's true! Anyway, bye, Abby, I'll see you at home, I hope Mr. Lazy ass boss is getting mad at me!

Bye, dad! Love you xx

Dad: Love you too, love! xx

I smiled at the text dad sent me, a heartwarming feeling coursing its way through my body. I'm the luckiest girl alive to have a dad like him. My thoughts were interrupted when I took a glance at Mrs. Johnson and Bailey scattered all over the floor like the stacks of papers Mrs. Johnson and Bailey played with. An exhausting smile made its way across my face. I'm also the luckiest girl to have friends like these two.
