Harry was looking for Louis, but he wasn't too sure where he would go if he was upset. At least not anymore.
In hope that maybe not everything had changed, Harry was on his way to their spot. Except now it wasn't their spot, it was just a tree in a park.
It was nearby and Louis had always found comfort in familiarity.
Harry hasn't been back to this park in over a year. It was full of memories that Harry didn't want to relive.
FLASHBACK, 6 YEARS AGO, THE PARK
"Lou, this isn't a good idea," Harry said, chasing after Louis.
"It's fine Haz, trust me. Loosen up a bit," Louis said, rolling his eyes at Harry.
Louis and Harry were in the park, way after hours. Louis had broken the lock that kept the gates closed when he couldn't climb the fence.
"Lou, what are we supposed to do if someone shows up?" Harry asked, worried.
He really wanted to leave. Louis always got them in trouble.
"Harry, no one is in the park at 3AM," Louis stared back at him like he was stupid.
"Well we are," Harry said. Louis was the stupid one. Harry just knew they were going to get caught.
"That's different Haz. It was locked when we came in okay, so no one is in here" Louis tried to calm Harry down.
He just wanted them to get away from all the chaos of the world for a few hours. Maybe watch the sun come up before anyone notices them missing.
There was a small lake in the park with a few benches scattered in front of it.
Louis sat down on the end of one, Harry sat on the opposite end.
"Haz, why are you all the way down there?" Louis whined, reaching out with one arm to grab Harry to which Harry leaned away from.
"Because you're being mean," Harry answered with a pout.
Louis let out an over exaggerated sigh before moving down to where Harry was sitting.
Harry stood up from his seat to walk to the edge of the lake.
Louis slapped his hands down on his thighs before standing and walking to Harry.
He placed his hands on Harry's hips from behind and lent around Harry's body to kiss his cheek.
"You're pretty," Louis said, sincerely because Harry was very pretty. He had moonlight shining down on him and he was glowing.
Harry looked down at his feet, point his toes inwards.
"Thanks," Harry mumbled back quietly.
"Look Haz, I'm sorry if I upset you by making you come here. If you want to leave, we can. I just wanted us to have some peace and be normal for a few hours before we go back to the bus," Louis explained.
Louis moved to wrap his arms completely around Harry's middle before sticking his head in the crook of his neck.
"It's okay Lou, and I think we should stay. It's pretty," Harry said, sitting his hands on Louis' arms.
"Just like you, right," Louis whispered before moving his head to blow a raspberry into Harry's cheek.
Harry giggled, quickly pushing Louis away from him.
"Careful Tomlinson, I'll push you in this lake," Harry said, backing away from Louis slowly.
"Oh yeah or maybe I'll push you in," Louis said, running after Harry when he ran away.
Harry was laughing as he ran away and he felt like an 18-year-old boy for the first time in a while.
When Louis caught up to him, he was under a tree, sat down, out of breath. Louis jumped on him, pushing him down, before he sat on his stomach and held his hands over his head while blowing into Harry's cheeks.
Harry was a giggling mess yelling for Louis to stop.
"I'm out of breath," Louis yelled after a minute or so.
"And I'm going to wee," Harry yelled back, giggling.
Louis was really close to his face, staring into his eyes.
Harry had stopped giggling staring up at Louis. Louis leaned down and kissed him square on the lips for the first time, but not the last. He pulled back after a second, not giving Harry a chance to kiss him back.
"Do you have a knife?" was the first thing Louis asked him.
"Why the hell would I have a knife, Louis?" Harry asked, confused.
"I don't know, the city is a dangerous place Haz," Louis shrugged, finally letting go of Harry's hands.
"Well then do you have a knife?" Harry questioned.
"Nope," Louis answered, smiling.
"The city is a dangerous place, Lou," Harry said, mocking Louis.
Louis leaned down again, but this time to peck his cheek instead.
"I know," he whispered in Harry's ear before getting off his stomach, sitting beside him instead.
Harry sat up, crisscrossing his legs.
"Why do you need a knife?" Harry questioned, looking at Louis curiously.
"This is our tree now. I want our names in it," Louis explained, playing with his fingers that were sat in his lap.
The next time they came to the park they brought a knife and carved their names into it.
After that night, the park was their favourite place in London because it was theirs.
If one was upset, the others knew they would be here.
Louis and Harry never talked about the kiss. To Louis, it was heat of the moment like many other things, but to Harry... well Harry wasn't sure, but he knew it meant something just like all the others to come.
FLASHBACK OVER
Okay soooo I know this chapter needs more, but I don't want it super long and when Harry finds Louis it's going be long soooo I'll just put that in next chapter. But I really like this chapter. I think it's cute and it gives you insight to what their friendship was like when they were younger. Very cuddly and cute😭
